removing glue?

ok i was rushing to glue up some sorex 36s for a qualifier and i went over board with glue and some dripples down the tire over the contact patch. my qestion is can i remove this with acetone? will it eventually scrub off the tire? or should i throw away the tires and try again?
cheers

my self i would not use acetone as its harsh and some rims like sorex get eaten by it. ( or used to when i ran rubber). i would go to your local hobby shop. if they carry BSI or MERCURY ADHISIVES they have a debonder that you can use. leave it sit on the glue for about 10 min and it will wipr right off

I've done this before, getting a little glue on the contact patch. I just used a very fine grit sand paper or ideally emery cloth.

I've had this happen too. Just dip a rag in acetone and wipe the glue with it. The acetone will soften the glue and you should be able to remove a fair amount of it. After that just put the car on the track and run it to get rid of the rest.
