I don't live where you are but I've had all the 13.5's out and the SP is the strongest. But let me be clear, the LRP & Novak are no slouches.

I ran a SP 13.5 tonight for the first time against all Novak motors and the SP is by far faster. And I did not touch the timing from stock.

How is the SP 13.5 different than the Orion 13.5? 'Cause Orion's motor is no Novak, that's for damn sure.

LRP makes really nice motors, no doubt. Their rotors I find a little suspect, though. The newer, smaller rotors look to be pretty nice.

Did you go clockwise or counter? I heard 18 degree should be the farthest. How far have you gone before you saw a performance drop?

i think the new lrp spec stuff is going to be pretty good.

btw the novak 13.5 with the beveled edge at the bottom of the can(newest release) is faster than the square bottom 13.5

marcos have you run both ?

Hmm, that would suggest a fundamental change to the motor, and not just a new end bell. Maybe they're winding them more carefully now that all the attention is on 13.5 and the competition is heating up? Aiming for lower inductance or whatever?

maybe they dont know how to gear the motors?? My 13.5 was faster than the novaks and i've also ran the SP 13.5 in the 10.5 class and had no problems keeping up and beating some of the 10.5's

The SP 13.5 is not adjustable. You must have the SP GT speedo to adjust the timing.
