spur gear and pinion to properly gear your 27T motor
If you have the Spec S, I'd recommend these hop ups.

Mine is the lower spec one ,no turnbuckles and god knows less what else.
SO, what do u guys suggest now?I have ordered shock nuts and a 14T motor(supportable by my ESC) , and also the alu. spur hub.what else is recommended?
No turnbuckles = Spec S.

The Spec S's I've seen have a label on the box, which makes it quite clear what model it is.

Your first upgrade should be adjustable upper arms - I don't know if HPI make an all-in-one set - you'll have to hunt around the option parts lists on their website.

If the car has dogbone driveshafts, you should also upgrade the front ones to CVD's - shiny, not aluminium.

Lee82gx:

The Rod ends for the adjustable links may have come with your kit on one of the plastic parts trees in your kit already. They look like the bottom end of the shocks only larger. Then all you need is the turn buckles. Might as well get the Ti ones if your kit came with plastic links.

Yes..different brands can be mixed around... you don't have to stay with one specifice brand.

On both my Pro3's... I have Jet, Square, Tobee, Cross, HB and HPI all mixed in. you will not be able to tell the difference who makes what....

Default Pro-3 Upper Deck

Purplepro3;

I HAVE the HPI upper deck, but my ESC is a Tekin G-9 and there isn't enough room to remove the batteries without lifting the upper deck away. So I took it off the car without ever racing it.
I don't want to risk tweeking the chassis at the Track when there just isn't enough time between heats to correct it. If I buy another speed control, then I can move the Electronics further back on the chassis to change the batteries out on that side. Until then, the car works pretty well without it and I just spent $800 on a Robi motor Dyno.

Default Pro-3 upperdeck

teamAE;

I REALLY don't want to spend MORE money on something that I already have (an upper deck). I will check it out just the same. The Tekin is over 3 years old (works fine), but maybe it's time to replace it.
I don't know, will have to think about this. I'm going to run the Car some more just the way it is and make a decision later.

Thanks, will check out the PRP deck (Penguin Racing Products).
