Default Pro-3 cont....

I really think that the mission is a more competitive car as built from the box.
My Pro-3 hop-ups and why;

Aluminum motor mount (more ridged, better cooling)
Aluminum countershaft mount (more ridged, looks good)
Oneway countershaft pulley (the jury is still out on this one)
27mm springs (stiffer suspension, less push in the front)
I'm running 6 deg caster in front & may go to 4 deg soon. (more overall steering)
Debating on a front oneway. If it will improve on power cornering speed, then I may have to get one.
I have the HPI Graphite upper deck, but have not ran the car with it as it's too hard to remove the packs with it installed.

c1 racin; I've never had a problem with the stock diffs.

popracer...I've order parts from Rainbowten more than a handful of time...never had any problems.. always recieved my items in less than a week. very happy with there service.

rcpigz: With some upgrades to the PRO3..HPI graphite chassis and upperdeck...it will definately just as competative as any other sedan in the market.

c1 racin: Best diff is the HB or the OVA. both identical. I have the Ova on both my cars...works great! No worries about the CVD's popping out. As for the front one-ways..the new 72436 is the best...don't have one yet..but soon.. lighter and more durable than the original.

Another great place to order parts is from RcModel in HK.
This site is probably alot easier to order from.

Default Question for the PRO 3 .... Gods

On the Rainbow Ten web site I found the following items:

"Product number,Manufactur,unit Price,Product name"

3023430272292,HPI,3000,72292 PRO3 ALUMINUM CENTER ONE-WAY PULLEY 16TOOTH

3023430260048,HPI,3000,60048 PRO3 ALUMINUM CENTER ONE-WAY 16T

These two are Center one-ways as you can tell by reading BUT they have different part numbers?

3023430260047,HPI,4200,60047 PRO3 FRONT ONE-WAY DIFF

3023430272291,HPI,4200,72291 PRO3 FRONT ONE WAY DIFF

Like the top two these front one-ways have different part numbers?

ALSO

With the two different part numbers for the center one-ways, does anyone know the difference in the two?

rc-zombies, you say that the new lightweight HPI front diff is part number 72436, I couldn't find that part number. Do you know if it is the one-way part number 60047?

Can anyone help

thanks,
c1 racin

the 72436 may not be listed yet...
if you look on the left hand side...under RC news it's there listed in the HPI nov. release.

I run both the center and front one-ways on my car..the car is much faster with a dual set-up. Not only do you get great cornering speed but also gain is straightaway speed as well..
rc-zombies;
Did the front oneway help your corner speeds under power?
Is the improvement noticable?

Thanks,

The front one way is more of a tuning option rather than a preformance option. The one way will improve corner speeds, but will also increase the amount of time it takes to decelerate into the turn. So one ways are usualy only used on outdoor tracks with large sweeping turns. Whether you will go faster with a one way is more up to your driving style than anything else.

Cyclonus;
I am racing my Pro-3 in Stock class on outdoor asphalt parking lots.
I am most always on the throttle and only use the brakes to stop the car.

rc-zombies;
I sent an E-Mail to RainbowTen and they have the new oneways in stock at 4800 Yen + shipping.
Don't feel too safe sending my credit card # in a non-secure E-Mail to these guys.

Anyone else that might have these diffs. (and secure ordering)?

Thanks,

Default RainbowTen shopping

E-mail is not encrypted and therefore NOT a secure method of transmitting your CC #. I think I will pass on the Rb10 orders for now.
