Just went thru many, many pages of this thread...but couldn't find anyone who posted a carpet / foam setup...

Track is fairly large 85' back stretch, technical infield...so a balance between straightline speed and tight handling is essential...

Also, on the pro3 what has everyone found to be the idle shock lenght..

It's official... the new lightweight front one-way diff is going to be released. Can't wait to get one.

Sorry TigeRyan, missed your post.

An old carpet setup of mine is here, but I haven't run carpet competitively for a long time, and my basic pro 3 setup has changed since then - basically I run a higher roll centre front and rear, using 3mm spacing on the front hub carriers, and the upper hole on the rear hub carriers.

Shock length depends mostly on tyre diameter - i.e. you set it for 1-2mm of droop at the front, and 2-3 at the rear - normally 65.5 to 66 is a good overall length for rubber tyres (as foams wear, you need to extend the shock length to keep the droop).

I race at Speedworld, RcCar (formerly Castle hobbies), and with Rocks in Fairfield. I haven't raced Ripon yet. But I do get out to there carpet track in Stockton once in awhile. Won't be able to get out for carpet racing 'til Jan next year. have no radio at the moment. If yo make it out to Stockton Carpet. look for my brother if you need help. He's got a hopped up Pro3 like mine.

On my pro3 I run the Fantom P2K2 at: 110/39. Very fast for this gearing... probably drop down a tooth or two if the track gets technical..

by your name..I bet you're running a AE TC3. ? just curious.
I have a TC3 too.
