a losi xxx-s w/ the graphite kit will be $260, thats all u need for a losi to be fast! u can do shocks if u want, if u cant or dont wanna afford short shocks, jsut shave a few threads off the bottom of the kit shock shafts and and they will work just fine.

Of course I say get a pro 3, this is a pro 3 thread and that's what I drive. However the best advice would be get what ever car that will be easiest for you to get parts and setup assistance. If your LHS only has TC3 parts then get a TC3, if they have HPI then get a pro3. If more racers run a Schumacher at your local track then get a schumacher.

Associated RC10 TC3 Factory Team

Team Losi XXX-S

Schumacher SST Mission

HPI Pro 3

I would be most grateful if you seasoned racers could advise me as to what to get?

Hey Sabir, I've driven all but the Mission and Pro3. What size is your track? Is it a fast flowing track or is it very technical with alot of sharp turns? Do you race on carpet?

Also, have you looked into the new X-Ray Evo2?

While I love the looks of the chassis, I am really getting this feeling that I am getting milked by HPI...

I am running both a Pro3 and a TC3...for 279$ + 50$ in option parts I havent touched my TC3...so total cost: $330...

My Pro3 on the other hand has been a money pit, maybe some parts I didn't need but others I felt were necessary...

IE: A HB Upper Deck ($20) - HB Front and Rear Shock Towers (I forget $$$) - Updated A-Arms, re-updated A-Arms, Motor Plate, Rear Stiffening Plate, Aluminum brace for center shaft, aluminum center pulley...I am well past the cost of my TC3, and the TC3 is still a bit faster, not much but a bit...

I am not complaining about the $$$ directly, I love the car, but this car has gone thru several generations, they could/should re-release the kit with all these parts, and give the existing owners some form of trade-in, say we send in a chassis and something else to prove we have the kit and get a nice discount...

Just something for hanging in with a kit that many people have written off completely....

Just my thoughts...

ya it looks it thats the main reason i want it
also do you think it will be torsionally stiffer than most of the after market chassis out there right now, in combination with an hb upper deck?

PRP chassis and upper deck are a lot stiffer then HB or penguin. then they can be modified if u want more flex from there.
