who in here knows that the pro3 is truly the best car out there? well here's your chance to prove it. the first stop on the USTC triple crown championship is coming to minnesota. for more info see the related thread in this forum. it would be nice to see a strong field w/ some good pro3's lettin loose.

the upper north east really has nowhere near the interest level that the west coast and other parts of the country do.

I just went to HPI board and saw many posts in the froum where the HPI staff ask if anyone would like it if HIP USA bring hara edition to the USA.

And most of people keep saying they would rather have a conversion kit for their pro3.

Well, as far as I know if you buy a Hara Edition, it "IS" the conversion kit!! Since the Hara Edition and the regular pro3 has prettty much nothing in common.

I think people should post more opinion on HPI board like: "yeah bring it to the US, and we will buy it". Then we should have another good HPI car running around in the US. Asking for a conversion kit, is just not realistic.

Bringing the Hara kit to the US will be expensive..the kit is already expensive to start off with. It's almost $500.00 in Japan right now. Who's going to buy a $500.00 kit in the US... almost no one. when there are more competative and less expensives on the market.

A conversion kit is the economical way to go... if racers have the stock Pro3 right now...up grading will be alot easier.

I also think that Pro3 that stayed with the kit from the beginning would have already purchased alot of the option parts to bring it close to the Hara Edition. I am one of the them... Have you seen the Blue Pro3 on the HPI site... that's mine... and I spent way more than the kit itself.

The Hara Edition kit is what HPI should have released in the first place.

Well I think the Hara Edition is way overpriced - if it costs the equivalent of $450 in Japan and Hong Kong, you can guarantee it will be that and more in the rest of the world - and nobody realistically wants to spend that kind of money on a car.

They would just end up sitting on the shop shelves.

Anyway, half the parts on the Hara edition seem pretty unnecessary to me - who really wants the Hotbodies shocks and shock towers, when the standard ones are probably a better bet? What's the big deal about the white diffs, when the stock items are excellent anyway? And half the aluminium parts are just for looks, not performance.

Also, from what I've heard, the hot bodies upper and lower decks are actually less torsionally stiff (more flex) than HPI's graphite moulded chassis with a HB deck.

In my opinion, the Spec V has the parts you'd want, and would have sold at the same kind of price as a FT TC3 or Yoke Special ($250-$300), but they kind of missed the boat there - they should have got the HPI brand top deck in production much sooner, and stuck that in the box as well.
