ran my pro3 today and it's more than what i expected of it after reading negative reviews about it.....maybe i'm not an all out racer...i'm just bashing around....i'm also getting about 5min of runtime using 12x2 on my 2400...gearing at 116/32...is the gearing/runtime correct??i also experiecing a lot of push mid corner and i read that a 3 or 4deg cater block would cure that...any of u has any setting tips to make it oversteer a lil bit??

this is my setup
front/rear
1deg toe out/2deg toe in
1.5deg neg camber/1.5
serpent yellow/stock spring
50wt all aroung
sorex 30 f/r
the rest of the setup is from stock setting

mike_r
i've read in previous reply that u did a link to your front upright which has other racers say that it improve steering...but i can't find any pictures of it(did u post any??)... could u be kind to post it again...and also if u could tell me what parts did u use to make it

TIA

Ian - your gearing looks about right - you want 5mins for racing.

the new caster blocks should help the understeering.

no i dont race just wondering about the gearing and runtime..
regarding the understeer prob can i use a softer spring front and stiffer rear ....i'm afraid i might lose traction in the rear coz for now the traction is just right....maybe i'll try a few setups changes and maybe get a pair of spring and try again the next time i go to the track....by the way i'm running stock pro3 no upperdeck no hop ups at all...so far been able to catch up with some of the guys(nitro though )

Ian,

We have a new top deck that comes with caster brace mounting holes built in. We haven't tried it yet with the new C-Hubs, but they should be coming in this week for testing. However, our setup works perfectly with the stock uprights and really has made the steering more consistent.

Here's a pic with the caster brace links: http://home.attbi.com/~teamprp/PRPpro3_topelectrics.jpg

and here's a link directly to the top deck:
http://home.attbi.com/~teamprp/pro3.html

You can view the online instructions to see a few samples to how the bracing is done.

Best!

Geetoo: sorry about my bro, he is kinda unfamiliar with the place. I'll just accompany him to the hobby shop.

do you need a different c-hub for the caster brace or can you modify the stock c-hub to mount it? is that c-hub with the brace mount an HPI part?

You can use the stock Pro 3 hub carriers(we haven't tried the new ones yet because we haven't been able to get them, but they should be coming in this week).

Here's one method of attaching the caster braces. This is a link to our online instructions which can be easily located from our site as well.
