Is this the mirror version of that new Japanese sedan by Alex (except for the purple anodised parts)?

man, you guys are good at getting pictures.

FYI, if this is similar to the "Alex" verison which uses very small spur gear, be very very careful. They strip very easily.

Hmmmm, I've seen that car before....

TC3 + IRS parts in pic below = Pro4???

Heck, if they sold if a good price, it could be a real winner, both literally and figuratively.

The gear box is open for now. I bet they seal it soon.

Well to me the new car looks good.

Disappointed to see the loss of the centre batteries (don't forget that a Pro3 came sixth (I think) in the warm up race, so the car does have pace.

But I do have a soft spot for shaft drive, and to me that car looks like it drops the aspects of the TC3 I don't like i.e that odd steering geometry, and the wide offset of the batteries from the shaft, because of the ribs in the middle of the moulded chassis.

And hopefully it will be nice and light, unlike Tamiya's George Foreman-esque TB cars.

The Alex cars are not something I've seen over here.

just to stir the pot a little.......the name of the picture file is "falscherasso" I don't know german but could that be "false chassis?"........is this something HPI has leaked to satisfy curiosity but keep the real car secret?

More simply, it's just: "fraud Asso", "false Asso".

Well if that is the new Pro-4, I'm glad to see HPI getting back to plate graphite chassis. They always made good cars that way and should have never gone the composite tub route.
