Acutally, the shocktowers worked really well. I didn't though. in my mod main, i falsed peaked so didn't get to finish that, but in stock, i broke my outdrive so i was 3 wheeling. either way, i was there to test.

set up:

Fr:
50wt
Hpi blue(linear)
Rideheight 5mm
1.5 camber
0 toe
inside bottom hole camber link
outside middle hole hub, 8 deg
shock pos bottom outside hole, top inner most hole, bottom row
gold swaybar
Rr:
50wt
Hpi Blue linear
RH 6mm
1.5 camber
2 deg toe
inside most bottom hole camberlink
outside top hole camber link
shcok pos. bottom outside hole, #3 hole from inside, bottom row
Gold swaybar

the 1st qual, i pushed alot and hoad to get rid of it.

for the second qual, i went to the black sway bar in from as well as move to the middle hole on the shock tower in front for quicker reactivenes. it worked too well! i started cutting the corners too close and just clipping the dots. I moved up to second, but dots came in the way again..and i think i ended up 8th.

still playing with adjustments, but having more options for shock positioning as well as roll centers brings the car closer to what i want out of the car.

Default Pro3 (my sentiments)

My First RC Car TL-01 Hopped up to the Max-SOLD
Second-NEO NR4 I like it I bought two for parts(SOLD)

Third is Pro3-- Did ot like it!!!!!
I noticed here in the Manila and other countries only a few like it, so it challenge me to keep it and RACE it!!!! And another fact is, how come HK and other after market companies are coming out with this and that for the Car, besides HARA is using it (with tons of hop-ups)

Out of the box it is not competitive, Pro3 is a car that likes to be hopped up!!! The flex is okay for tracks without tight turns but not so if its a high speed track. (but over at singapore, they said they race it with only a few modificatications and they love it there) (and that is why HPI came out with a KIT with all the Hop ups for the Pro3 its the Special Ed, I think)

And It took awhile for me to get my Pro3 to handle!!!!

I have spent almost an equivalent to 2 brand new X-rays T1 in hopped ups!!!

What i need now is the chassis of penguin and aluminum steering arms!!!!

Its about 1.560kgs in weight with batts, a bit heavy but I will make up for it in time when my driving skills improve!!!

All my friends have Yokes, TC3's, X-rays and Tamiya but I will stick with my Pro3--- hell I can't even go to sleep without looking and fondling my car hehehehehehe!!!!! Call it addiction!!!

I also have a TAMIYa TBevo as my back up car!

So to all the people who frown on the Pro3-- sorry I love my car!! And it will always boil down to Driving Skills!!!!

But now-I love it like Crazy!!!!!!

seeeee!!!exactly!!!!hpi is CCRRRAAAPPPP!!!

see, like this guy says, if you change every part on the car with a hop up you can get it to work ok.....

I can understand liking the car now, since you have 1000 bucks in just the chassis......thats cool, whatever floats your boat....

but if you plan on spending the money to go to a national event sometime, then you better get a real car....

BLAZN420: okay man, you don't like the Pro3, we get it. Jezzzz. Okay, for some reason you like giving people you don't know on a message board, grief. Okay we get it. Some kind of experience you had working in a hobbyshop turned you into an obsesive HPI hater, okay we get it!

Man, I can't believe the moderators have let this crap go this far without stepping in. HELLO......are you guys out there.......can we get some moderation here! We have one person constantly harassing people on a thread about what car they choose to drive. If this doesn't require moderation, what does?

I say let everyone run whatever car they want.....if you don't like the car they run, don't run it. But for goodness sake, leave people alone.

Default charlie_b: Question???

We almost have the same settings, but my question is what tires are you using???

My time improved a lot when I switched to soft inserts with sorex36R's becuase that track i raced in was quite dusty??

It seems to handle well with the softer inserts.

Thanks!

PS to all
the graphite shock towers from JET Racing offers more angle in placing the dampers! got mine from controlcentre.rctech.com

Default BLAZN420

maybe the reason why you frown at HPI is because they did not see you as a worthy driver when you were (maybe you still are) a store CLERK at a hobby shop

that was ages ago.....

things are great now thank you.....

believe me, I make more than you...

well, maybe not....If you make enough to afford all those hop up parts to make your hpi cars work decent....you might make more than me.....
