Popsracer... you should seriouly look at the Fukuyama cells...especially it's right in you own back yard.... check them out when you're at SoCal.. look for Jimmy, Dan, or Randy. They might even let you try a pack...

116/35. Internal ratio 2.25. Equals a final drive ratio of 7.46

Default another question (sigh)!

thanx for all the info, the guys at my lhs are completely ass holes, i ask if they can help me with my car and their like "ooo, don't no what your are oing with that thing. sell it and get something worthwhile!"
as i know see, i should just have stayed away from them.
what do you recommend for a first hop up, i'm lookinf at something like a hotbodies top deck or something to cure the flex in the chassis.

are you racing the car? if so, what are you racing on? that will dictate what hop ups to get first

an aluminum spur gear adapter is a good first hop up, the kit one sucks.

Default Torque Rod

church;

IMHO, the Torque Rod only effect fore and aft stiffness and does not effect Twist, which is really where the Pro-3 needs the help.

I personally recommend any one of the Graphite Upper Decks available, instead of a Torque Rod. The Car will scrub off alot less speed in the Corners this way.

the Penguin chassis is good.. but not great...
I've used the HB chassis and upperdeck with good success.
and also the HPI graphite chassis plate is great for carpet very stiff... use it along with the HPI one-piece upperdeck.
If you get the HPI molded woven graphite chasssi On the HPI "buy HPI" website... it should be equally good. You may be able to run it without the upperdeck... not sure though ... haven't really seen one..so don't know how stiff it is..

110t spur gear works well in most case...
gearing depending on your motor....

Default What do you want to do ?

church;

A Woven Graphite Chassis is not really nesessary unless you plan on racing on Carpet. I have stuck with the Plastic Tub Chassis and been very competitive with it on Asphalt Parking Lot Tracks (with the HPI upper deck).

The Monster Stock is very popular at the moment. I recommend a starting F.D.R. somewhere in the 7.5+ range for your average size Parking lot track. Vary according to how fast and smooth your driving style is and of course the size of the Track.

For a P2K(2), try something in the 6.5 Final Drive Ratio range to start.

For other Motors, the Guys will have to help out there.

Default 24t stock motor

church;

I myself like the ease of tuning an EPIC Stock Motor. They also seem to require a little less maintenance between runs than some of the other brands.

The Monster Stock is very good once you find the 'Sweet Spot' with gearing. More and more People are showing up at the Track with them in their Cars.

Most ALL the Stock Motors can be made competitive. It just takes different methods with different brands, to make and keep them that way.
