Ray...

Darn it..I just threw away all my setup sheets after I sold my car...

Your tire choice is good..they should work fine..27's in the am. 33's in the afternoon. You may want to carry some 33's with green inserts if the weather starts to warm up.

Since you're limited to stock kit. and springs..
the stock set-up should work fine...
run 45wt oil front, 40wt rears.
camber:
1deg front
1.5deg rear
6 deg C-blocks.
toe-in:
0 front
2 rear.
gearing:
start with 110/38 and work from there on track layout.
110 is the optimum spur gear for the car.

if the track is really smooth..try 0deg kickup in the rear..that may increase your rear traction.

hope this helps..if I'm forgetting something let me know..

Guys;

Just wanted to say that my Pro-3 is so dialed now that I haven't made any changes in the last 4 races. The long time Stock racers at our tracks are even starting to get nervous. Just need a little more Motor or Battery, but the handling is perfect.

As a note, I'm am still using the Stock plastic Tub Chassis with the HPI Upper Deck.

Well I'm really pleased with the extra consistency I'm getting from the car with the graphite arms fitted - I used to lay the car on the track and the balance would be different every meeting, and every race, but now it's much more consistent, the only change I've made in the last couple of weeks has been to go a bit stiffer on the back one night to free the car up. Took the rear toe-in hub carriers off though, they were giving me too much rear grip, which made the car confident, but slower on our tight, slippy track. New 3300 cells are working well too, I actually have some punch for the first time in a few months!

I had a good outing with my pro3 today. Yoday was the first day of our parking lot season. I qualified 6th in the A and finsihed 2nd. I could have given 1st a run but I got a horrible start and had to move up from almost dead last. By time I got to second 1st was almost a 1/2 a lap ahead. Maybe next weekend.

The 2003 Reedy Race will probably be the last race you'll see the Pro3 race in a major event. R.I.P.

Pro4 is coming soon..

I have a Pro 3 and am running it on a carpet track. Does anyone have any tips for setting up the Pro 3 for use on a carpet track?

Stiff springs, heavy damping, 3 or 4 degree front caster, remember to adjust ride height and shock length as the tyres wear.
