I really do not understand how a car can be driveable with so much camber. Even on my Nitro cars I only run -1.5 with Foams. Believe me I have tried to run more Camber, but the cars always inherit undesirable handling traits when i do. If I feel the need to run the one-way again, more rear toe is always an option. But in Stock class anything that scrubs off speed is bad so one would cancel out the other.

Front set-up:

3 deg Caster blocks, 2 deg. Kick-up (5 deg total caster)
-0- Front toe
-1 deg Camber, 2mm spacer between link and block (stock setting)
4.5mm Ride Height, 2mm Droop
Inner camber links mounted in kit location
Shocks mounted in kit locations
(Have to go look and see what springs I'm using)

i do this to check for camber,and it mainly concerns ride height.
i push the car down on one side,add the most amount of roll(by pulling up the other side),and see if they wheels are at right angles(max traction) with the floor or not.of course they car will never go down and roll as much during driving ...so take out a LITTLE less negative camber.
i end up with about -0.5 to -1.5 degree most the time.
-3.5 is crazy
there is a really complicated and scientific way to calculate proper camber...which is relative to spring rate,spring travel ,roll,cornering speed and and corner radius..but i fall asleep half way reading thru all that

Dave;

Once I put the upper deck on, I had to go to lighter springs all around (with the FR 1-way).
Right now I have HPI #6846 Green Springs on the Front and #6844 Red in the Rear. I too have run the #6847 Blue Springs all around with good results. I think that I will be able to run the Blue/Blue this weekend now that the 1-way is removed.
ALL of my cars Nitro and Electric use Trinity 45wt oil F and 40wt oil R. I've always felt my Cars were "Twitchy" with heavier oils so that combination (45/40) has always felt good to me. I have a Friend that runs 80-100wt in all 4 shocks, but I haven't drivien any of his cars yet to see how they feel.

Thanks, Steven (popsracer)

here's my Hara edition Pro 3 with Suzuki Escudo body...
and yes... the addition front torque rod is similar to one that I saw here in rctech... notice the "o"ring under the steering linkage/ackerman.?? it reduce the steering slop..thus making it more precise....especially when adjusting front toe...

JDM_DOHC_SiR;

Well I raced again this last Sunday. Did pretty well in Sportsman Stock. Qualified 6th overall (A main) out of about 40 entries and finished 6th in the Main. Mostly due to Driver error (corner dots). The Car felt very good except for the looseness, but that was a track issue that everyone had to deal with.

This coming Saturday is another local race. I'll probably run the Car without any changes just to see how well I still like it as is.

You mentioned in an earlier post about 3 degrees Rear Toe-in. Where can I find the parts to do this. I think on a very slippery track, the infield grip might make the slight loss of top speed worth it.

Thanks for the congrats, Steven

Hi Steven

I'm using the Hot Bodies Most agressive Toe Blocks wich I think is 2 deg and I use the Square Hybrid rear Hubs that add 1 more deg.. so 3deg toe in total

hope this helps ya'
