So I was thinking, shall I buy a new, stiff, car (XXX-S G+), or should I make my Pro 3 a bit stiffer? In the end I decided to save 250, and buy the graphite wishbones.

I'd say there's 1/2 the flex at the rear, and 1/3 the flex on the front - so now the springs move before the wishbones when you use stiff settings!

If anything, I found a little more understeer with the stiff wishbones than before, but the car didn't feel as vague as before with softer springs, and it's definitely a better platform to tune the car from.

Not a problem... The shiny's are much better for the front anyways

did you get the graphite C-blocks as well? I have them on mine..it will help get rid of additional flex.

Default Electric On-Road > pro3

Well I ran the car with the Graphite Arms, 3 deg Graph blocks and raised rear RC today.
Overall the car seemed much better. The track was VERY loose today so I had to remove the Front One-way for the first time ever to keep the rear from swinging out.
I won both of my heats, qualified 5th overall with guys that usually race in Expert Stock, but got hammered 3 seperate times on the first lap and that put me in last. I made up 2 places but that was the best I could do.
The Car did feel better though. See how I do next weekend.

Default What do you think make the Car handle better

I actually think it was a combination of the two. For the first time I had to RE-install the Front diff over a One-Way. Before the Arms and RC change, the Front One-way was very drivable even in loose conditions. I could always use one where no one else could. As a matter of fact I NEEDED one just to get enough steering. With the recent changes, I had enough steering without the 1-way.

Thanks for all of the help.

JDM_DOHC_SiR;

standard 2 deg (total) rear toe and -1 deg Camber at all corners. If you know HPI cars as well as I think you do, then you know that they do not like alot of Camber. The Nitro cars are really bad about this. Turn in has always been fine so I always run -0- Front toe (instead of toe out)

See how it goes this weekend if it doesn't rain more.

*side note*
I did find out that my most recent and expensive battery pack doesn't have nowhere near the power and punch of my other packs. Have to use it for a practice pack now (like I need any more)

Thanks,

funny thing you talk about camber ... because When I started to use the High rear roll center in the rear...I used to have 1.5 deg - but now I'm using around .5~1deg- ..but my toe in is a little different though... it 3 deg total..

How's your front set up.??
Interesting.. find .. I thought I was the only one who thought that It was a little weird that I was running very minimal camber... vice what all of the people in Japan are running with the Hara. ....the most I have see is -3.5 deg camber front and rear !!

Default HARA FINISHED 2ND WITH PRO3

Pro3 still on the podium.

Hara finished 2nd the the Thailand International Touring Car Championship lead by SURIKARN CHAIDEJSURIYA.

Just goes to show ya that the Pro3 is still very competative car.

Wonder why he did not run the Pro4?
