Thanks,
I think that you'll like the High rear roll center Pops'

just another note about the torque rods. when these were fist suggested on teh hpi forum.. some guy from penguin racing said that they cause active caster.. ie.. when the suspension cmpresses.. the rod pulls the c hub back, making more caster as the chassis rolls.. and thus.. making more push on exit.

i used fairly tite ballcups to make mine.. and compressed suspension to try and observe the effect.. it is imperative to make sure the links are loose when at static height.. not forcing forward nor pulling back.

having had this little blurb.. i still think that they improve reactions..

Thanks

Default mid corner push

Carbon_Fibre3;

I have the Front One-way and am really happy with the improvement that this made. Turn in is Great right now, exit is decent but just the Mid-corner is way too wide.
The rear Sway Bar sounds like a plan, I'll get one and use it if I need it. I'm going to save the Torque Rod option as a last resort.

To all;

Thanks for your replies and your help. I'm confident that things will go good this weekend. (racing Sat AND Sun)

Question to the experts

I race my PRO3 in stock class (27T rebuildable + laydown brushes) on a small tight technical asphalt track with Med-high grip.
The problem i have is i can't keep a tight line.
i tried differnt shock locations but it did not seem to help much.
And sorry that i have to bring this up but i have driven a TC3 of a fellow racer for a couple of laps and my laptime improved by 2 Sec.
(Same motor and batts.) it felt more stable in the corners.
Now i want my car to handle like that so i can kick some TC3 Butt and there are a lot of them where i race.

here is my setup.
tires HPI B15-40 (Controled tire)
insert Front 26mm hard Back 26mm soft.
0 deg. kickup
6 deg. caster
Oil. 40wt all around
Spring: Front Blue 8647 Back Red 8644 or
Front Pink 6849 Back Green 6846. Depending on the track temp.
Front 1 deg of toe out Rear 2deg toe in
Diff: tighter than in the back.
anything else is stock lokation.

Hopups:
Alu motor mount.
Alu middle shaft mount.
alu spur adapter.
CG Baterybrace/shocktowers.
Rear low friction belt.

1. Does it make a difference if i use the HPI CF upperdeck, and how does it affect handeling.
2. How will changing upperlink locations affect the handeling of the car.
3. What gearing do you guyes sugest. currently 110/34=7.0 total.

Do you guyes sugest any other hopups (no expensive ones i hope) becouse i'am already saving for the futer PRO4

Sorry for the long post.
For anyone who can/will help Thanks.

Greatz Whacky.

Default Whacky PRO3

Have you tried a closer spring rate spacing front to rear. Without the Upper deck you could run Pink Front/Blue Rear. I like my car with only 1 step difference in spring rates F to R. Without any other changes, installing the HPI Upperdeck will require softer springs (at least mine did) all around. You also might try -0- deg toe in the front. This should tame the car down a bit. If your class allows you to run a Front One-way this really helps in the corners.

Per recommendation of fellow Pro-3 owners on this Forum, I will be racing this weekend with the rear Roll Center (Camber Link) in the upper hole on the rear up-rights. This is susposed to help Mid-Corner steering.

Good luck racing,
