Post progress update March 8th

Yes folks - it's coming along!
SpeedWorld Raceway & Hobbies now has a brand new asphalt racing surface. Now comes the rebuild and remodel of the facility. Notice the freshly painted boards, extended driver's stand which is now covered along with the timing tower. Marc Richards of River City RC and Scotty Barnes have been hard at work building roofs, new pit tables, boards and all the little things we never think about; brand new electrical as well.

check out these updated photos of the remodel/rebuild as of March 8th -

sorry guyS for the remodel taking so long, Scotty and I have been painting a lot in the last week and can not seem to finish, so we had to hire another person to helpus out and it seems to take longer than expected even now, LMAO.

First race today at the new track all I can say is

ITS THE SMOOTHEST TRACK I BEEN ON OUTDOORS IN 20 YEARS

you could not see a seam or feel one on the track Tire ware was good not harsh at all, I ran 3 rounds on one set and set my fastest time on the 3rd run.

GREAT JOB TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT PUT IN HARD WORK ON THIS TRACK

For us old timers out there if you races at Briggs in Costa Mesa back in the days this track is smoother and twice as big.
