Default wiring, HELP!

hey

i have a robitronic spririt+ speedo, and it dosnt have an external switch, you turn it off by holding braakes on for 5 secs or by holding down the setup button

i race 12th 4 cell mod, and run reciever packs with my LRP quantum, and want to put the robitronic in my spare car, but how do i wire the reciever pack so that it works?

cus if i just plugged the reciever pack into the receiver, and use the robitronic how it is now, then the recievr pack wont do anything and will just be dead weight in the car.

cheers

When you run a 4-cell car with a receiver pack, you need to remove the red wire from the speedo's receiver plug (as the speedo is already powered by the main battery, and the extra supply from the rx pack can cause problems).

You can just slide the wire out of the plug, normally you have a little metal or plastic tab that needs to be pushed or lifted to free the tiny connector. Then tape up the loose wire.

Do that for the quantum and the robitronic.

Is that the question you were asking?

well kinda, close but no cigar!

i can wire my quantum easy, all i do is plug my rx pack into my battery slot in my ko reciever, then use the switch on the rx pack, and leave the quantum switch OFF. then everything works fine.

what i want to know is, how am i ment to wire in the speedo to the robitronic? as when i plug in my rx pack, it doesnt do anything extra, the speedo still runs off the main battery pack, so therefore i have dead weight in my car, what should i do?

thnx for the help newayz!

You run an rx pack in a 12th to give you a faster steering servo (and to get a tiny bit more life out of your main pack). You don't run it to help the speedo (so it's not dead weight).

Like I said, you should remove the red wire from your esc plug so the rx pack power isn't going to the speedo. If your robitronic isn't working, it could be that it can't run off 4-cells (check the instructions).

You don't even need the rx pack - if you take it out the car should still run, but the servo will only run from 4.8v which will make it feel a bit slower.
