Great job Dale! You must have been really stinking busy working on all of those molds, and they all look great! Massive props!! I think I saw three new bodies under the PROTOFORM banner. The F-MD, R9-F, and the C6-R. But you've stated you're not only working on the C-HD but the R9-R, COT body; and you have to comform all the existing TC molds to the ROAR guidelines. PLUS, I'm sure Pro-Line has you working on off-road stuff. Not only is that a testimony to your dedication and skill, but to your commitment to excellence. I know all of the Protoform drivers are proud to be running your bodies.

Thank you for all of the support, but more importantly your friendship.

This new body is nice. However, being a 200mm nitro on-road racer, when will we get a few more choices in bodies to run. When I first started racing, Protoform alone had at least 4 to 6 bodies to choose from. Now, it is down to the same old boring choices (not much variety like it use to be). So, is this new body going to be offered in 200mm? What about a G6 or Charger 200mm option like we were given with the DNA body?

We all like to see the "Real Thing", but unfortunatly licensing has gone the way of most big business, and it is not cost effective for body makers... For those of them that actually do pull licensing.. I am sure Dale or whomever could go on and on about dealing with these companies.

Regardless, I am sure there will be plenty of SCALE bodies, but I doubt we will be racing them at the national level...

Now that you mention it. Most if not all car companies will only license bodies that are true to scale. To bring back realism back into R/C bodies, Licensing could be a part of the requirement for the ROAR body approval process.

So we all end up running Tamiya and HPI bodies. It is the same for everyone.

I really appreciate Dale and Protoform for coming out with unique bodies. Protoform leads and everyone else follows.

I can't help but feel that racing these bodies that don't resemble real cars is taking touring car one more step away from mainstream. I used to think one of the great appealing factors in racing touring cars was scale realism. It's definitely an appeal in both drifitng and rock crawling (not that I do either of those).

Dale - your thoughts?
