Overheating of Tekin Battery Doctor 3.0
Any body has experience with the new Tekin Battery Doctor 3.0 (the one which can discharge up to 8 cells?). I am trying it but it seems to get hot very quickly, and very hot (my hands can barely touch the tray and batteries).
Is this normal? It is only suppose to discharge at 2A so I am surprised it gets so hot, so fast.

I see. Any ideas how hot the cells could go without exploding?

The cells will get hot in the tray but its highly unlikely they would explode unless there is a problem with the cells. My 2 battery doctors have worked fine, they will warm the cells up and the underneath of the tray will get quite warm too but its normal.
Charge your cells as usual, race them, then tray them when you need to use them again, let them cool down and recharge

the unit is called the battery doctor 8.0, not 3.0. It's because it holds 8 cells...
I,m full of useless information.
P.S. Yes the doctor does get hot during use. It's really meant to equalize a battery that's already been fast discharged. It won't hurt the cells or tray though. If you still have concerns, just go to the TeamTekin.com forum for their help. Very fast responses...
