Default How many chargers / lipos is everyone running?

I have been running 3 lipos and 2 chargers. But I think that might be overkill and hangover from my nimh days. What is everyone else doing?

On average most people running lipo at my local track has one charger and two lipo packs and they don't have issues getting full charge every heat.
We usually only have 5 heats with a 10 min. break between rounds....
Everyones pit tables look a lot less intimidating with one charger and usually a car on top of the car stand. lol

Default how man chargers and lipos

I run 13.5 pro stock and we run 3- 6 minute qualifiers and 1 - 6 minute main and I run 1 core 5000 lipo and I use a checkpoint 1030.

I charge at the end of every race and I never have a problem. I just p/up a peak 4800 lipo and I have that as a back up but I have never needed it.

that multiplex charger is the bomb, it handles everything you own!

i have 2 of those. i have 3 lipos and 2 chargers...but in reality all you need is 2 lipos and one charger if you are worried about time. plug one on charge before you race then switch when you get back!

I usually run 2 classes off-road or on-road so I have a charger for each vehicle and a lipo for each one as well. Pretty easy 2 chargers 2 batteries done deal! I use the Hyperion 0606i chargers and have the 3600 Orion's for asphalt and the 4800 Orion's for off-road.

this thread has perfect timing. im looking to go lipo soon (have no time to be maintaining nimh, there great but im a sucker for maintainance free since running brushless) im new to lipo batteries.......u guys are telling me u can recharge right after coming off the track? how long does it take to re charge? if theres a basic lipo thread please point me to it.

what setup would u guys recommend for four 5min mod races with 20min in between?

yes you can charge them as soon as you come off the track, it depends anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes if you have a charge pack run it for 5 minutes then stop and immediately charge it you should have it charged in 20 minutes or less, I run the Core R/C 3250 and the Core R/C 5000 in mod with no issues at all.

I started with 2 LiPo's and 1 ice at the track (and one ice at home). I added a third LiPo to do some fitup and testing (and to compare the Orion 3600 vs Trackpower 4900). Its nice having the 3 if trying to get alot of practice in a short period of time...but 2 is really all that is necessary IMO.

BTW...Trackpower 4900 25c has more pull then Orion 3600 race spec IMO.

For TC i would not mess with a 3250. You'll just end up just having to add more weight because they are considerably lighter. May as well make that weight count with added Mah of a 4900 / 5000.
