I think the genral concensous is that it's a new class and will be called GT10. There are still plenty of traditional Pro10 runner around the world so it will stay as is.

Be good if you could change the topic title to GT10 instead of Pro 10

That's actually the name of the car. The Speed Merchant formula Pro-10.

If you want a name change, bring it up with Bruce.

Anyway, I'm not too keen on the front end of the car. I'm sure it works fine but it looks a little complicated. Adjust one link and you affect both camber and caster. It must be very hard to get the car aligned evenly.

Yes it is a little tricky, this is my car(around 15 years old)

He can call it what he likes but it would make sense not to confuse people that it is a pro10 chassis.

I have the Rev 5 with the formula front end. It is actually extremely easy to adjust. It was my first concern, and I brought it up with Bruce the first time I saw the prototype. The front end is as easy as adjusting the camber link first, then the caster link. I have mercilessly pummeled this front suspension and it has held up with no problems.

yeah, i like that front end, because it seems like it has a few more tuning possibilities. I might stick it on the DB12R oneday. I dont get it, why would they call it GT10? hasnt it been established that its Pro10, you cant just come in and call it a different name, can you?

well if youre talking about a given class, you can call it whatever. YOu could call it Fish-10 if need be. The GT10 nomenclature is designed to distinguish it as separate from Pro10 as Pro10 is often most associated with the 235mm race cars. As for the name of the car, that is up to the company. If they have been marketing a car as "Pro10" and then release it under a different name, that is their prerogative. Maybe not the best marketing strategy (course Im no marketing student so take what Im saying with a grain of salt) but its still their prerogative

Pro 10 was a class of 235mm cars a while ago. They are being brought back as 200mm cars so the car is rightly named. We are all aware of a small group that are still running 235mm cars but that is no reason to seprate a class. 235mm will be around as long as you can get parts but now pro 10 will be supported as a 200mm car.

corally and crc are making wide pro10 chassis's. It aint dead just because someone said it is.

I don't get it because accoriding to a few people on here it was never called pro10 over there before anyway, let us keep our pro10 name

It seems to make a lot of sense to call the new cars gt10 or something like that because they are not running prototype bodies.

GT10 sounds a lot better than pan tourer or 190mm pan etc

i guess but i personally think pro10 sounds better, but if 235 is almost gone, from IFMAR atleast, and a new class is introduced, all being 200, then i guess it should keep its name, since its almost the same class, but different width, and a few details like that.

Actually, CRC makes the only 235 car but will require a conversion to do so. Corally is 225( I still dont understand that one ). The rest are 200mm. I think 235mm cars are cool but there is too much working against them to help them come back.
