Just the motor plate. It creates more room in the pod in addition to shifting the balance a bit. HTH

$11.95 for the 1 set of platic and one ball. You only need one set for a link car. I'm put two sets on the t-bar in my FF07, and I have another one on the way for my GenX. You'll trim two of the ears off it to fit the football on your Knife.
Ya, thats whats on there now. I just put new springs all around on the car. Its way better now. Pretty consistant too. Cant feel any wierdness soo Im just gonna leave it.

Thanks

Don't hold me to this, but if you've already got the CRC delrin socket then I'd pretty much bet that only the ball itself is worn out. Mine came with aluminum balls which I think would wear a lot faster than the delrin.

IRS sells some nice pivot balls, aluminum with a hard-coat anodize and teflon impregnated. Part# is IRS375. $9.95 for a pair, I would think one of those would last a season or two in a Knife or GenX.

Hi,

there isn't a complete kit. You need following parts:
8511 Lower Pod Plate
8512 Upper Pod Plate
4608 Rear Hub
4609 Thrust Cone

Cheers
Chris

I dont think its a kit. Order the 10r5 upper/lower pod plates and the brushless hub and diff cone. Look back several pages and you will find the part numbers

4609 -12R5 thrust cone

The motor plate is repositioned on the graphite pieces to change the weight balance of the pod. The hub and cone are needed to keep the rear width legal.

I can let you know my experience with the 12R5 as a newb to 1/12th scale

I just started racing 1/12th this season (indoor carpet) with the 12R5. I bought it because I liked the idea of the unique dampener on the pod, because it was supported by my local hobby shop and because it was very competitively priced.

I was VERY happy with how it went together and it was really easy to drive right out of the box with the kit setup! In fact I finished 5th in the Stock A in the first weekend of our Western Canadian series in the fall having only raced one 8 minute heat prior to that weekend!

All-in-all I'm really pleased with it and would highly recommend it based on my experience.

Cheers,
Mike
