thanks for the help guys i went with the futaba s9650 the only thing i didnt like is you have to trim the tabs off not a big deal though

But I hate sanding/cutting the tabs off every time I replace it so I guess just keep the case that's already trimmed :p |
yeah and the servo saver doesnt fit i have to get a futaba one i wanted an airtronics servo but didnt want to wait for shipping haha

looking to change the flanged bearings for the diff. does anyone have any specific recommendations of teflon shield vs metal shield?
on my offroad cars, i usually opt for the rubber shield ones because it sealed the balls against the dirt better. |

Try Blue center spring, 25wt Silver side springs, 20wt .020" front springs, with a tiny bit of preload. Black front, Yellow rear tires will free it up a bunch, pink rear is for mod, too much rear grip for stock spec. If you need even more front grip, try magenta front, Yellow rear. or even grey rear. At Vegas for the iic last week, 40.5mm rear tires, 39.5 front tires had more than enough grip for 8 mins. Lubing the king pins with 30k silicon, will have a very minor effect, good for a bumpy track, or on a smooth track will have more initial steering response. Ok I made the changes to my set up, hit the track and the car was on rails and looked good. One last thing I need is more speed. How much timing should I be running with a 17.5 and a tekin, currently running a duo 2 motor but can also change to a duo3 , right now I am geared high at a 59/76 with a roll out of almost 107 and the car is coming off at about 125 degrees. I want to add timing to the motor but don't want to get to hot and loose power. I am about 3-5 laps down from the fast guys and I am working on my line and really not hitting anything but still getting passed sometimes like I am standing still, what to do??? Also was thinking of trying blue side springs , has anybody tried these and what was the effect on the car? |
