Calling all pan car dudes in the Los Angeles area. I am trying to get a core of guys that want to run pan cars at least once a month at Crystal Park Raceway. At the moment we meet for racing the 3rd Saturday of the month. I want to push for the pro 10 class but willing to go World GT if the majority rules. The track as you will see is a nice big track and would be ideal for Pro 10. Currently I am running Novak 3.5r, lipo. But again as stated I can easily swap to a 10.5 or 17.5 for World GT. Let me know if you are in the area and see if we can meet up any weekend for practice before racing.

Here are some recent pictures of the track and of my car:

Some GT10's running various power sources and bodies.
The first final, mine is the Orange Kyosho Fusion Honda body, most of the others are PF Corvette's.
I was running 1s lipo/10.5, most of the others were 4cell/10.5
I wasn't in the 3rd final due to damage in race 2 so I filmed it from the rostrum;

It was Jason Butterfield.
He's a top level 1/12 racer normally so knows how to get the best out of them through driving as well as setup.
He always ends up at Euro's etc as well so we knew he was going to kick our arses

NICE!

My car is at the 13.5 1S spec and its a blast. I'm having to test again, but so far its much more agile at the lower weight limit. I'm liking it.

I ran my 10r5 tonight at my local with a 1s 13.5 and it just felt ment to be. I Lowered the ride a little bit and was a little more consistant feeling. I just could not seem to get the car lower that 6mm in the rear. I dont want to have to true down so much on good tires... really I am still pretty new to this RC thing so what do I know

Try flipping the 1, 2 or 3 axle carriers so the big side is on the bottom, It should get you lower.

No problem. A car that handles well and drives right makes a happy driver. Happy drivers then practice more to get faster. Fast cars attract spectators. Spectators buy what they see. We get more racers. I'm doing my best to promote the class.

We we finding the 21.5/2 cell lipo could be .1 - .2 quicker - on a fast lap, than 10.5t rubber touring on carpet.
The average lap, at our track, was, for the most part, identical to the rubber touring

I got to race mine tonight as a 1S 13.5 and I see no noticeable difference between 21.5 2S and the 13.5 1S. The car feels more agile now that its been gone through and set up right. Locally we're going to allow the 21.5 2S with the 13.5 1S just to grow the class. Our track is indoor with a 90 foot straight, so really medium to small size. Most of our layouts are technical with one really fast section. I'm a little slower than the 13.5 Sedans, but its still a fun class to drive.
