World GT is a 4 cell class. Here are the current rules:

There are some outlaw variants being run at the local level that allow lipo

Thw official World GT class is a 4 cell Nimh 13.5 class but club races run different motors and batteries.

The BMI DB10R can run 3.7v lipo, stick or saddle pack 7.4v lipo.

CRC Gen-X 10 and Darside I-Force cars can all run 3.7v or 7.4v Lipo stick packs.

The T-bar cars like the CEFX, PRC and Corally can run 7.4v saddle or 3.7v stick with the electronics on the other side.

The AE RC10R5 and Speedmerchant cars can only run 3.7v sticks.

Most of the guys running lipo drop dowm one motor class to be close to the same speed as the 4 cell guys but they are still faster.

For example 17.5BL on 7.4v is a little faster then 13.5BL on 4 cells.

Default hi guys

I race a Crc gen x 10 on carpet. I was told cut the tires down to 2.09 front an rear. I had my cut to 2.13. The car handle better with smaller tires an last longer. Use the glue, an put it on thick!!
I got the protoform vett and had to cut the fire out of the body. I cut off about3/8 off the bottom. Same time an money and get the sophia body!!!!
we run 13.5 4cell or 21.5 2s lipo.
Hey guys don't waste ur money for the carbon fiber wheels. The paint just chipps off and ur rims look ulgy after racing 4 days get the Crc wheels!!!

Quick correction...

The CRC Gen-X 10 will accept 4 - 6 cell NiMh packs as well as 3.7V Lipo packs.

In addition, BOTH saddle AND stick 7.4 V Lipo packs fit in the Gen-X 10. The car comes complete with both battery trays and is ready to accept any of the above mentioned power sources.

I would hope most people would just assume Nimh cells would fit...lol!

Has anyone run this with a 21.5 and lipo in comparison to any form of Sedan and compared lap times? I'm guessing that a 21.5 with a lipo is still pretty darn quick.

Here's something to look at....
http://www.rctech.net/forum/attachme...unday10409.pdf

It's the last race, Mike Larsen ran the 21.5/lipo, Mark Sweeney the 13.5 4 cell. i don't know if Mike was geared all the way up...

Thanks Rob, that's just the kind of stats I'm looking for. 5 laps, wow! 17.5 or gearing of the 21.5 might need to be experimented with to see which has the more fun factor. I know there is a fine line that needs to be met. There is a point where max speed of the car starts to cover up for driving mistakes. Its right around the point where the fun factor becomes the oh *** factor. I think I'm going to get one of these and play around with a 17.5/lipo and gearing. It'll be fast enough to be really fun on our little slice of carpet heaven.

Those look pretty good man! I had a 156 with the Selenia a couple years ago. I think that one from the BTCC would look real nice on a SOphia. Off Topic for a sec, Isnt there supposed to be an Alfa running in LMS-GT or FIA GT in 09 or something?

So I wonder if anybody has put out a new body for this class besides Protoform because I think I saw somewhere that somebody was gonna do an Aston Martin DBR9 or something
