I've got a 21.5 coming from hacker and should be here Monday. I'll put in the same car that I ran the 17.5 last week and see how it does.

I don'y think we need a second class for lipo's, just the right motor oprion.

I also think the new Proto-Form GT1 should be in WGT as the run with the Corvette in the real world.

Both the Alfa and the Maserati Ive factored in. I was looking at what Dale said about body height and I figure a number like 105mm should be sufficient to allow for those bodies and still allow for other GT1 bodies (like the Aston Martin DBR9) to go into production

The Proto Vette is legal for WGT. I see on here where everyone is saying that lipo/17.5-27t is way faster than 4cell/13.5-19t. We have been running these combos at our outdoor asphalt track and it's a very good match. I'm an avarage racer and run the 13.5/4cell combo and one of our local fast guys is running 27t/lipo and we are dead even down the straight, 160'.

We've been running the 17.5/lipo with 13.5 4 cell on a small carpet track (40' x 60') and have been very similar.

FYI ... This past weekend we had our two day outdoor race, kind of end of season race that included a pan car class, with 9 enteries. The rules allow either 1/12 scale with 4 cell or 1/10 scale with 6 cell. Either class can run a 19 turn brushed motor or a 10.5 brushless. We did have three 200mm cars run which were pretty fast. The class was won by a Darkside I-Fource 200mm car converted to 235, 2nd was a 1/12 scale but 3rd and 4th were 200mm cars. Boidies were open with the winning car running a GTP body but the 200mm cars were running a Protoform Corvette and a Protoform GT1.

This class was one of the fastest classes with times at or better than modified touring and nitro touring.

I'll get some pictures of the 200mm cars posted here in the next day or two after I find the right camera with them on it.

Thought I'd post the bodies that I have been running on my I-fource in 200mm class. The "Well Used" Corvette is the HPI which was out prior to the Proto-Form. The Porsche GT1 is my current car, till the Sophia or others arrive.

I ran it on the carpet after running the HPI corvette. It was an improvement over the HPI, but I don't think it is best for out side. Try looking at Team Magic's gas car as they have a GTP that I have run, and it works pretty well. I put some side dams on it and that helped even more. The other would be to wait for Proto-form to put out his 200mm of the Pew Joe. So I'd do the Team Magic if needed now or wait for the new 200mm GTP.

As I understand it the mold is being made, but I'm not sure when it will be released.

We are thinking about starting a GT10 style class at our club. I have a Mamba Max speedo but I don't think that it will work with 4 cell. Is there an easy fix for this? What is a good ESC/Motor combo with a 13.5 limit?

Thanks!

Use your software that came with the Mamba Max you can adjust max and minimum voltage.
Hope that helps.

K
I cut mine to 2.15" front and rear.

Jaco's are a small diameter rim. If you run BSR add .100" to the above size.
