Forgot to mention track is Bending Corners in Orange, though I would really like to see something started at Crystal Park Raceway.

We had our first World GT race saturday night on our outdoor asphalt road course. There were four cars, and we had a blast. It looks like the class will grow here in Dayton, OH as we have already had another three guys say they were going to get one.

I'll finish building it it today...
Just need to build the center shock, install electroincs and true up some tires. I just need to a good starting point on pinion...Tires will be trued to 2.10 so I will ask Jason as this seems to be the starting point.
I will get to drive it for the first time Saturday, hopefully there will be enough peeps to get a class for the big race. If we get 5 guys we get our class..
But it seems lots more peeps want 12th scale so I am torn as I want to run both...LOL

I just broke some of the ears on my JR z3650 servo and cannot find replacement parts for it or the case. If you have a non functioning z3650 and are willing to part with the case or top plate let me know how much.

If unsure how it looks here is a pic

Any word on the two other Protoform bodies that are on the approved list for the IIC?

Glad to see your first run went so well. Well any reports from GT10/WGT runners in Vegas?

The Rules for the World GT at Vegas; just my 2p...

Weight limit 40 ozs (1133 grammes) is too high. We find that the Corally and BMI cars build up with steel screws and no hop-ups, with BL speedo, normal receiver, EnerG cells and standard body at about 1050 grammes (37 oz). I'd have to add 120 grammes of weight (3 oz!! ) to make the IIC limit, and that's adding to costs, not making it a cheaper class.

Sliding pin front suspension elminates some of older cars. It is possible to run some of the older Corally cars that have swing-arm front ends. That isn't a disadvantage, but it will mean some drivers won't join the class as they can't use older cars.

The weight limit is the most important aspect. It should be low enough that every car, out of its box, is above the limit, without having to add weight. Adding weight just makes the class more complex, not easier.

.
That is an interesting point. I had thought the rules were written to keep the A-Arm suspension like in the touring cars out. But the steering blocks are in a fixed location on the pin and the front "Wish Bone" moves on another set of pins that are controlled by the springs.

I've got many Corally cars (not the new one) and had planned on running them at some time.

Yeah, I just got done building my AE 10R5 and put it on the scale with a touring car body and rubber tires to get a feel for the final weight and it came in at 40 oz. This was using all kit parts and a standard servo rather than the mini servo. So it looks like I will be adding a bit of weight as well once I have foams on it.
