Try 2.20[55.88] front, 2.21[55.25] rear. I have only raced on carpet, though - ymmv.

Im sure if Boomer came into this discussion he could pretty well explain the methodology they used (Id say Scotty but he is out of the country announcing an event)

There is nothing wrong with current NiMh cells from EP and EnerG. IB has wrecked the image of NiMh, but Scotty and Boomer know that the best handling cars for 4-cell pan need NiMh, and that's what they've gone for.

There's room for LiPo in this class, so by all means run a group for them. But, it will soon pass when the LiPo brigade realise that they are losing out in the handling department, and want a car that is good to drive!

Lipo was not an option when the testing was done...........The majority of the world gt cars were not built to accept lipo packs. Why would we create rules that require you to shoehorn a pack in your car that wasn't ment to be there?

The cars were built..........then the rules were made. If the cars were built to accept current roar legal lipo's we would have looked at lipo as an option.

I can tell you this....13.5 with 4 cell is the perfect speed for an indoor carpet track.

What would be a good motor for an outdoor track 128x72 low to med traction? Wide lanes and mostly flowing track with one 180 in it.

Its good to hear from somebody who was part of the process (even if it was for a few laps). Im pretty sure Scotty and Boomer werent ignoring LiPo when they were deciding on what to choose, and that is correct in that the cars came first, and then the rules (the whole chicken and egg debate).

I gotcha. I really do wish I could run in Vegas. Id certainly run WGT. Itll be interesting to see what happens after the IIC and teh US Indoor Championships with this class. I know that the Snowbirds will be coming up around the first of next year and success at these events would Im sure give Mike Boylan and his guys a reason to consider having WGT on the program for their event.

No I don't think anyone could ignore lipo. 13.5 4 cell is a really great combo.

I do know that WGT is part of the Northeast Grand Slam Series as far as club racing goes but hopefully some of the folks at places that were doing some testing are actually efforting to get that class as part of the weekly racing

Then I guess the Darkside I-fource must not exist, as a 3200 or 3600 orin bolts right in and I would also assmume that it would also fit in the CRC car.

We're looking at what lipo/brushless package matches up with the 13.5/4 cell. And since ROAR is making the 13.5 the 19 turn equivelant in 2009, 19 turn 4 cell should be the match as well.

Correct?

So lets get this straight........all of the cars made prior to testing and after testing for vegas accept nimh 4 cell.........correct

2 of the cars accept lipo stick packs.

Can you figure this out on your own or should I keep going??

You guys made a great choice. We ran 4 cell/13.5 on carpet this weekend and the WGT cars were faster than the 10.5 TC's. There has been alot of debate on lipo or 4 cell and 200mm vs. 235mm. This weekend,200mm cars beat down the wide cars and 4 cell was the battery of choice. Once IIC,Cleveland and Snowbirds runs the WGT cars, Everyone will see what you guys already know.
