Car is still not as planted as the C10X, but it is making progress on the carpet. More testing this week!
We found that it was real hard to get an inline battery layout to work well. Inline down the center was our 1st layout prototype and we quickly went away from it. It was very difficult to plant the rear on power and steering was also an issue. When we had steering, it was due to lack of rear traction. Once we got more weight to the rear and concentrated the weight, the car got real good and we could manipulate amounts of steering without sacrificing forward and lateral rear traction.

Default NICE

Congrats Jason and Adrian on the new car making it to www.rctvlive.com

It looks great! By the way that HPI body looks awesome on it. Makes me want to get back into on road.

What is the mix of 200mm and 235mm?

Our band of racers has been split between several tracks, but I'm working on getting the 200mm class running this winter on the carpet. We might go to 17.5 and 4 cell, but we'll see.

Mark - We're running 13.5 x 4 cell... They run similar times with 12th scale 17.5...

FYI

If you're talking about IROCC, we're around 50-50 or so.

There's too many variables (NiMH vs lithium, 19 turn vs 10.5 turn, 200 vs 235) to determine if the wide cars or narrow cars really have an advantage -- it's all amazingly close racing (way closer than touring car). Suffice it to say that with all those variables, any combination seems competetive.

I'll pass that on as you would guess, some of the 1/12 scale guys are playing with this for a class this winter.

You think that with GT10/WGT getting going and with the existing Pro10 235 people that are out there that a GT10/Pro10 weekend event could be wrought within the next year or so? Id love to see it happen (especially after the bad experiment I tried with putting some together)

i'm deffinately not trying to put out your fire, but they are already scheduled to run at two very big races this year and i imagine in the time leading up till then we should start to see a lot more local classes popping up as the cars roll into full production. even then building an entire event around them might be hard just because of sheer numbers of cars out there.. perhaps at that point. if genuine interest is there they can piggy-back on another invite event like the reedy...?
