If, at a large and prestigious race like the IIC, the name "World GT" is used for the class then that is already the official name for it and doesn't really require a motion or second.

IMHO using the term "World GT" gives it sort of a over-the-top, tutti-fruit, have-a-glass-of-wine-with-it, do-I-need-to-learn-French?, self-important kind of sound to it...........

.......why not just keep it simple like GT10 .... nuff said.

You know I think World GT makes sense to me.

Pro-10 has been used for the 235 cars and that would still leave the people overseas and a few spots in the USA running the 235 cars a name that makes sense.

The World GT then would be in step with the cars like the Lotus Elise, Lamborgini, Mazda .... list goes on.

So my 2 cents is lets make this work.

World GT sounds pretty cool. If they already have rules for this class made... then I don't need to worry about it any more!

I know. I was being somewhat facetious with it by using a little parliamentary procedure in this discussion.

RR40, Scotty and his boys are pretty much the best in the business. I think that he could somehow put on a 5th scale race and 300 people would show up. a name like GT10 is simple adn easy to remember yes, but just like VTA has a name that thinks more big picture, a name like World GT pretty well encapsulizes what people want this class to be and still allows for people who want to run Pro10 235mm GTP to run them.

Nice shots Adrian!

Itll be interesting what the rules are going to be for World GT at the IIC because I have a feeling that once those are announced I would not be surprised to see tracks adopt them for their regular racing. I think that 4C/13.5 or LiPo/17.5 would be a good start but Im not going to pretend to know what Scotty or Boomer or any of those guys are thinking

Questions??

Where is the best place to order 10th scale pan car tires and at a descent price.
Also the talk of a spec tire for upcoming events? Any word on what it is and where to purchase them? Thanks in advance.

Right now I imagine the best place to get pan car tyres is either Stormer or RC4Less.

I also imagine the spec tyre that will be used at Snowbirds will be a JACO Prizm even though it doesn't exist....yet.

You can also go to Lefthander-RC for BSR tires, which I have used from time to time.

Holy crapoly

I've never seen so many compounds! I need a data dictionary with table schema to understand what compounds are what....

I've got a db10 coming tomorrow. I'm going to run it at two different tracks. One high bite smooth indoor asphalt, and one standard carpet track. Any advise on what compounds I should start with?

dont get flustered at the various compounds. You will usually find yourself running pink,2x pink or lilac rears and 2x pink, purple or lilac fronts.
