I'm in favor of the "2 door rule" as well, mainly because there are a ton of very cool, highly recognizable bodies. Simplifying the rule to any 2 door "car" would fullfill essentially the same function as specifying 2dr's from a GT series.

And the best part is that people have plenty of options to choose from for paint schemes if they wish to replicate a real GT race car or they can go with something more original. I know that there are a lot of options for the C6 beyond the Corvette Racing Yellow

Sounds like a great idea to me then. So for now, any 2 door car is legal for this class....

lol...I dont know how that would handle but whatever floats your boat I guess.

I will say that it looks like things are starting to come together pretty well for this new class. Something to consider later is who would be the guy in charge of this if this goes to a larger scale. Anyway this I guess is what we have so far

Chassis: Any 200mm pan car chassis
Body: Any 2 door car body
Tires: Foam tires
Motor: TBD (once more cars hit the track and test)
Battery: TBD (same as motor)

That pretty much covers the basics I think

The 12 Hours of Sebring is on Speed Channel right now on the east coast of the US.

Lots of very cool cars to be seen...maybe what we put on our chassis next year

Not bad. I race the NSX body in the Tamiya TCS series. Actually last year I ran the Toyota SC. But this year I'm going back to the new NSX body Tamiya is releasing. Another reason why I love TCS racing. Nice realistic racing bodies of real racing cars!

Greak link! There are some great looking cars there.

Funny how a real Lexus SC430 looks like a pile of soft dog poo but the race car version looks awesome.

I think the GT cars (Nissan GT-R, 350Z, Mazda RX-8, Porche 911 GT3, Aston Martin DBR9, Honda NSX, Toyota Supra,...) and Super Cars (Saleen S7, McLaren GTR, Lamborgini Murcilago, Ferrari F430, Pagani Zonda,...) would make for better looking r/c cars than Daytona Prototype and ALMS cars.

Here is a website you can waste a week looking at and still not see everything:

Link to the FIA GT gallery.

And another site with an obscene amount of photos of various series.
