Orca website will release a new sensorless BL ESC, called "Vritra".
With 2 versions: compt. and compt. TC spec.

I had the ORCA Gladiator, it caught fire at the starting line of the first race I took it to. It cannot handle a motor larger than 4000kv or approximately 19T.

I think you'd get more for your money by sticking to one of the big brands.

Since their website just says "Under Construction" and they tell you to come back later....I've yet to be able to get in contact with the company about replacement.

I now have a Novak GTB and Speed Passion Gran Turismo

Default ORCA Gladiator

Oh yea...and it is from Japan.

Don't waste your money. Go Mamba or something like that if Novak is too much for your pocket (i know the feeling).

These ESC's will be headed stateside before long, but prototypes are still being tested before they are released here. I personally ran one of the prototypes with a 3.0 turn motor at the Reedy Race track without any overheating or shutdown problems, but the programming is still being worked on before the release.

Hey, folks.

Does anyone know what non-ORCA motors have been tested with this ESC? I am hearing mixed reports and I am just curious as to both the extent of the testing and the sophistication of it. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Phil

Well, I was helping with a little bit of the prototype testing at one point. I tried Trinity, Speedpassion, and LRP motors. All three worked awesome. The speed control is very smooth, and works much better than I really expected for a sensorless brushless system. When it's all finished it'll be really good
