Default SMC 28C 4000/5000 Hardcase Lipo part 2

As the first thread got allot of attention I decided to post additional info on a new thread.

We expect our new 28C Lipos to be shipping out to the distributors on the 28th of February.

28C/4000/7.4v

Part # 4028LD (Deans connector) 4028LT (Traxxas connector)

Retail: 160.00 Estimated street price 105.00 - 125.00

Size: L 136mm x W 46.5mm x H 20.5mm

Weight: 240 grams

28C/5000/7.4v

Retail: 195.00 Estimated street price 135.00 - 150.00

Part # 5028LD 5028LT

Size: 136 x 46.5 x 24.5

Weight: 290 gr.

All packs will be cycled on Competition Electronics Lipo T35GFX. Pack specs will be posted on the back of the packaging. The reason for doing this is to show the racer exactly what they are paying for. This will also allow us to remove low or faulty packs as with any products there is a chance of some defects.

SMC also guarantees were using a true C rate and mAH. Method of C rate certification is 90% of rated capacity at maximum C rate discharge.

I am a Lipo fan and this will be something I look for in my next purchase of a lipo pack. As long as it is ROAR legal due to the race in June.

Great job Danny. I am not aware of any others doing this.

They will be submitted to ROAR. As far as I know there is no ROAR approved Lipos at the moment.

We will ship out packs as fast as we can get them cycled so orders will ship daily.

Great job Danny. I am not aware of any others doing this.

Our goal is to raise the bar for Lipos. There is way to many Lipo manufacturers who seem to claim certain C rates or capacity and were confident that our packs are some of the best so we can prove it by giving actual pack specs. The fact that were cycling them means that if certain packs are lower or have issues we will not sell them.

I believe racers will be very happy with these new packs. One of the guys testing our Helicopter packs which are made using the same high quality materials tells us that our packs are the best ones he has ever used and after 50 cycles they keep getting better and outperform his other packs.

Didn't know some packs were already approved but ours will be submitted next week and it's my understanding that it takes a few days to get the testing done.

Danny, I like your idea of cycling the packs using a GFX. Good idea...
