Were out of stock but the distributors should have them in stock as we have been filling out orders.

The wire relocation is just a running change to try to please as many as possible so the part numbers will remain the same. I only think that wires coming out on top will be better for RTRs and offroad cars with molded battery channels.

The question is a fair one.

Letting buyers know how to differenate between the old wiring style and the new wiring style, without the risk of taking the factory shrink wrap off the package is a good idea, instead of hoping the one you buy has the new running change.

Perhaps adding an addendum sticker on the outside of the box to reflect this new wiring change would be helpful at hobby shops, such as Novak did when their brushless esc under went a running change to reflect the Lipo cut-off circuitry on the outside of a box with a sticker, etc.

Our packs come packaged in a box with no factory shrink on it. So it can easliy be checked prior to buying the pack. That being said we may change the way we package the packs once the packs have the wires coming out on top of the case. If we do use the same packaging we will change the barcode sticker description.

as a hobby shop owner i am looking forward to the new wire location. i have tested the SMC lipo's and find them to be one of the best but, because they will not fit in most RTR's with out modifications, they do not sell well. i can not tell a newbie that wants the best, that he has to cut his brand new chassis just to use a battery, i will sell him the best one that fits.

i am also a racer, and will have no trouble with the top mounted wires.
before you jump all over me for the last sentence, i know there are a few vehicles that the side mount is preferred but, from a business perpective, you have to produce products that meet the needs of the majority in order to stay in business. i personally hope SMC is around for a while so, do what you got to do Danny and most of us will make it work.

Sounds good either way Danny. Can you tell us what the dimensions are?

Sounds good to me Danny. Thanks for all the info. I'm sure that racer's and others alike will appreciate all the new changes, and your packs!

Keep us posted.

Just buy them now while the wires come out the side. It's very hard to come out with a product that will fit everyones need. The number one goal of our Lipos is to offer the lowest IR and highest average voltage. Due to all the RTRs with BL motors we have to look into top wire positioning.

Yeah, its under construction. There is a nice message on the front page telling you that if you blew up an IB and removed a finger or eyeball in the process, talk to IB...
