I wish there was a way for our wires to come out that would please everyone in every application but that is impossible. Since the pack is rectangular and the wires are coming out on the side this means the wires can come out in the front or the rear of the chassis towards the inside or outside so this gives the racer the possibility to have his wires coming out where he wants.

If you were correct , how come most brought Li-Po even before Roar legalize them ?

I know why ...
Its because the Nk-Ml packs being sold were sometimes bad right out the box....

Had nothing to do with Roar rules....

Extra order of Reading comprehension for Wild Cherry, Eddie was simply stating Lipo is fine without a hard case in thier opinion and SMC went with a hard case because of ROAR rules. Remember SMC is a racing company..... I swear you see a post by Eddie and you lose all common sense.

I saw some guys dumping in mod over the weekend at ROAR nats. Maybe they would benefit from LiPo?

Over here, I don't see how we could make time without LiPo! We are somewhat experienced running mod (most of us used to run it with brushed motors and NiMH), but we have been pulling some serious capacity out of our 5000mah packs running new-generation 3.5's on a med-large asphalt track.

Default Balance plug

So in my searching I've not yet been able to find the plug for the balancer on the packs. Danny, can you enlighten me as to what it is and where I can get it?

Thanks

The connector we use is the same as Align , ElectriFly and Eflite.

If yor looking for adapters Common Sense RC offers them.

Just ordered 2 5000 mah SMC lipos from Nexus!!! Looking forward to using them really soon!

Any tips on Yokomo BD fitment? I also plan to use these on my E-Savage. Anyone using these packs who had to modify or buy a strap to get them to fit?

Thanks!

No "ME PACK" did not blow up. I had to pull the case off the sample hard pack to meet the Snowbirds Lipo dimensions. Danny sent me a new pack as a replacement for the one I had to pull apart.

Just saying thanks for the great customer service.

It's hard to screw up customer service when you're giving stuff away. :-)

As Jack has stated, I'm not a sponsored SMC driver. I pay for ALL of my SMC products.

I can fax you copies of the canceled checks from the bank so keep it up smart ass.

For those in offroad wondering how the 4000mah SMC Lipo fits, it fits really well, infact better than another companies lipo I have.

Attached are some pics of it in my XXXT MF2, I had to add weight to the truck to make up the difference from NIMH to Lipo.

I also had a chance to run these new packs. I didnt run a balancer and charged it right out of the box and hit the track, my 19t felt like a 12t out on the track and infact some people in the 19t class thought I was running a mod since I passed someone down the straightaway.

2nd Qual I tried my other Lipo (different brand) and it felt more like a 19t.

3rd heat I had the SMC pack re-peaked (no balancer) and again it made my motor scream.

In the main I obviously ran the SMC Lipo after a re-peak (again no balancer) and lapped the field and we ran an 8 min main and it was punchy through the whole race.

Next Weekend I will try it again at a big local race and see how it goes just re-peaking and abusing it, so far this is all I will run.
