GFX would give you more "punch" feeling from your matched pack, whereas, ProTrak would give a significant more run time/ capacity. Again, this could only be experienced by a really good driver. For us average drivers, both are just as good.

In Japan, many factory drivers prefer to use ProTrak.

I have attached a pix from Satoshi Maezumi's pit table showing his cool ProTrak from last weekend Reedy Asia

i have the GFX, but not yet tried the pro trak... but someone i race with, confirms your analysis... the pro-trak puts in more MAH than any charger he has used.

The latest firmware on the GFX is 1.40 I believe. Well thats what came on both my brand new GFX's. Now if the case is the GFX gives more punch and the Pro Trak gives more runtime, then get the GFX. Hell with the new GP cells I can run a 9 double and not dump for a 5 to 5 and a quarter minute heat. I could go a minute longer easily. So wouldnt you rather punch for stock class over runtime? Runtime used to be an issue with mod, but that is gone. I love my GFX's. They are alot easier to use after the first few times of charging with them.

run time is still an issue in high level competition even with GP3300

I use to have the original pro-trak charger and it was awesome!! I later traded it for a turbo 30.. I used the turbo thirty for a while and it wasnt bad. I liked the 30 amp discharge but the turbo 30 is substantially bigger and i dont think it does much more. I liked both chargers and i think the new GFX looks really good.

Pro Trak has a new cool charge mode. It starts
@ 3 amps to 1000 mah then you can ramp it up to 8 amps to 2700 mah then you can finish charge @ 4 amps... This a example from site. I guess charge rates are setable!!! It will make quick work of charging GP 3300s..

GFX Firmware - mine is 1.41.........
Click here to take a look at some cool face plates....

IMO....I think the screen of the GFX is easier to see and read than the ProTrak.

For those of you using the Pro-trak charger, what kind of delta volts (delta fall back) do you set to charge the 3300 mAh NiMh batteries?
