I prefer the the Sophia body on the DB10R. It provides alot of downforce on the front end for on power steering.

Default My current 13.5 1s set up

Here is my set up for medium to high grip carpet. Associated green T/C spring for the rear. Associated .016 1/12th scale springs on the front (kingpins have been shimmed to reduce play). Ride height is 4.5mm front to back, no rake. 30k oil in the rear shock and 30k diff. lube on the tubes. I was using 10k diff. lube on the tubes but I had to much roll and it was causing the car to push through the corners. Tweek screws are touching the chassis to prevent roll. -2 degrees of camber on the front tires with 0 toe in/out. Using the 10 degree castors.

The DB10R is the one you want to buy. We have updated to all the new parts in the kit but just have not changed the name. Sorry for the confusion. No need to buy a conversion kit.

Finally got to run the car on Sunday 27th Sept at NERCR meeting in Jarrow UK

R1
Ran as per kit with uncut BSR spec tyres / LRP additive full width front & rear. It's how I do 12th
Cells back
Nosram 10.5BL with 14mm rotor on 63.88mmpr
Cells dumped / Orion Vortex Race esc was set to TC mode.
Nosram 10.5BL with 14mm rotor on 63.88mmpr
Getting a feel for the car.
Broke a flex plate when crashed into back of another car. Didn't know until I'd stopped. Can't recall the handling feeling any different
24 laps

R2
Just enough time to flex plate changed, additive on same tyres, esc set to mild, cells in car and back out.
27 laps

R3
Changed centre spring to blue and fresh tyres, cells in, esc set to off-road setting and away
1 lap short of R2

R4
as per R3
29 laps. Would have been quicker but marshall was busy sorting out a car doing circles on the straight. Should'nt have crashed should I. Cost me 6 seconds.

Final
walked it

Car was good in the twisty's, good point and turn in, held it's line, good corner speed. But, on the faster corners it was lazy going in need a touch of brakes to help it enter the corner. Once in it was OK. 14mm rotor not helping maybe??

Next time out I'll have the Shopia.
No time to change anything but the tyres & spring as this meeting only had 2 heats.

Jarrow Meeting 27/09/09 on Duo Carpet = High Grip

FRONT
Kit front springs / shimmed for 1mm droop
No Oil on kingpin
5.5mm Ride Height
10' Castor blocks / teflon washer either side
Camber, set to run foams flat
0' Toe in/out
Servo stood up / Futaba 9602

REAR
Silver / Blue spring / 40wt Oil & 2 hole piston
Shock Length to give approx 1-1.5mm pod droop
Thick flex plates
Tubes in rear position / 7k Oil in tubes
5.5mm Ride height
200mm wide

MISC
HPI TVR Tuscan Bodyshell
BSR Spec tyres front & rear
LRP additive, Full front/rear
Cells = Back
Nosram 10.5BL on 63.88mmpr (or there abouts)
Orion Vortex Race esc. TC, Mild & Off-Road settings used
StromForce 4600 EnerG SC4600 & Orion SHO 42's
MRT PTX transponder

Couple of ideas I'd like to see in the car.
1. more carbon to stick esc, receiver, pt down to.
2. QD battery plate using 1 thumb screw (BMI's own, not those blue FT ones) on the front mount with the rear two being slotted so they sit under the head of a screw.

I would go with the futaba. People say that the hitec has centering issues after a few races. I run the futaba 9650 in mine.

I have been using the Hitec 225 with a Kimbrough servo saver in my DB10R with no issues.

Does any one know what the rules for World GT in 2010 will be for 1s lipo?
At my local track we were thinking 1s lipo with a 10.5 motor would be good.

I would assume the National rules will eventually phase out the NIMH cells in all classes. Lipos are becoming cheaper, mainstream and easier to maintain. Due to the fact WGT is more of a beginner class the 13.5 will remain.

Ok guys just like the previous post but i have a jr 9100s and i think i want to try it just for fun but whats the disadvantages of running a standard servo then a mini. I know weight but like if the car is a little heavier in the front what are the cons

does anyone else run a 2-cell lipo with 17.5? heres some older pics, still working a lot on front-end setup, any advice? i've tried so many things...
0 deg. caster now and i made a front end stiffener out of a cut up 12th scale chassis (not in pic) i know everyone drives different...
i cant get the car to feel consistent, strong chassis though! not sure how i broke the bumper
JR z3650 has been a good servo for me with a large black heavy-duty Kimbrough servo saver(a must)
