Leave it on if you can. Some people have to remove portions, or all of it, to get them to fit. Its not the only thing holding the case together, but it sure makes it stronger.

The cells are glued to the case..

I have had no shrink pretty much since day one to take the gold off my pack.... And its doing fine

I think he was asking should he take it off, not can he? I believe Trakpower puts it on there for a reason, so if room permits I would leave it on. Thats just me though.

Does anyone no where to get the balancing plug so other balancers can be used besides the trakpower one ?

make sure and speak with Pat at RClipos first to confirm with him what you need.

Reason being is that what you would think would be the right adapter to get doesn't work out right. The plug on the trakpower adapter is different than whats out there from what I can see for adapters. I rigged up a hyperion 2S adapter to the trakpower adapter you can buy and it works great. Not hard to do at all.

I would leave part of it on. On the 2 packs (4900) I took the shrink off it and a small peice of double sided tape was all that held it together. No glue!!

It take regular 6 cell shrink so it is easy to put back on if you want to try and remove it.

Really? I cant get my case off, Id swear mine is glued, is the tape really that strong?

I think they rate the batteries at a little less capacity then they are capable of in order to meet safety guidelines.

i just want to make sure i aint burnn down my house. i ran the pack after chargeing to 5000 and it was fine.
