my kit version had a non-countersunk tbar but no button head screws for it. the manual shows 2.2mm screws.(a typo?)
what screws are you using?

You are correct. Serpent updated the T bar by eliminating the counter sink which makes the T bar stronger but they did not include any button head screws.

I just ordered some of these and they worked great!!!

Has anyone that has this car driven a BMI DB12RR? I currently have a BMI and was interested in getting one of these but wanted to know if the serpent was a better car.

It's near impossible to say if one car is better than another. The Serpent is certainly a good car, people who have them seem to be very happy with them. The BMI is a good car as well, I don't know anyone with a BMI that has had anything negative to say.

In the end it will come down to personal preference... different cars may have a certain feel that you'll like better than others.

I'll be there in the Serpent pits. If you have any questions or need anything we will have parts available to the public.

Are there any plans to put out a rear pod that is designed for brushless motors?

So did I before I bought my S120 but, brushless motors barely fit and the weight is not centered on the car, it's just a little too far left.

Michael Abraira (aka Butter) is going to be there with parts available. For technical assistence, Markus Mobers, Paul Ciccarello and Butter are available to answer any question

That doesn't answer the question.

The rear end would balance much better if the motor was centered. You may think it's fine but, if and when a new pod comes out, you will see the difference. I've already seen it with other cars out there where someone thought their car was perfect until they added the balanced rear end and they definitely found it to be better.

Does it work now? Yes. Does it fit? Barely. Can it be made better? Definitely.

The only answer I am interested from Serpent is YES or NO?

The car is great but, I think this rear end, as beautiful as it is, should have been made to balance a brushless motor.
