pm'd a link

try these also

http://richardchang.com/hobby.php?topic=112setup

Page 17 to 19 of this manual

Mark Payne bolgspot

starting point for tyres will depend on track carpet, it'll be indoors in the UK so a set of front purples, grey rears will be fine from any brand, GRP, Parma, CRC, Jaco (old style not the Prism's)

No LiPo for 1/12th. 12th scales run on 4.8v 4cell packs. You can get that voltage in a LiPo. You may get a saddle pack LiPo to fit but it will be 7.4 volts and probably so fast you can't drive it.

RCMARKET has the S120 in stock! And the price is HUGE!!!! $366..... No Serpent for me, I'll go for the Asso 12R5.... I can almost buy 2 of them for just 1 S120. I know Serpent is in shortage of money but this price.... pffff

Its pretty bad when a 12th scale cost more then a 10th scale touring car.

A $355 TC5 in any version with double the bearings,3 extra shocks, about 5 times more plastic, about 2-3 times more carbon fiber, about 2 times more alloy, 2 diffs ect ect ect ect....

Yes this 12th marks a step forward but please! this is insane!

I sure hope XRAY does not follow serpent if they ever release a 12th. Other then AE 12th cars i have always found 12ths way over priced for what you get. R&D cant be why they cost more, a TC surely takes more effort to produce.

Agreed. I think over $250 is too much. This is just my opinion though. I do not know the cost not return of investment that these companies make for their 12th scales. My LHS looked into the S120 for me, and they could sell it to me for $325. Like another member, I opted for the AE RC12R5 instead at $209.

This car also has alot more than other 1/12 , like the 1 piece rear pod , which in itself is a work of art( and time consuming) , has the ride height gauge ( I think) in front of the rear pod, and it's got the Serpent name behind it.

If I want art, I'll buy a painting on the wall. I don't want to spend this much money on a car with a lot of features I'm not sure of it will benefit me on my level.... Still the price is about 2 12R5's of Asso.... I've made my choice.
Also I'm quite sceptic on the parts. I used to drive a S400 for 3 months, but the parts availability was/is a harsh!!! Also the fact Serpent has got fininacial isuues (check RedRc on that) I'm not so sure to spent this amount of money with this less guarantees.... It's a nice car though, but far beyond my (willing to spent) budget!
