Default Ban disc wheels in TC racing

Now when most TC races are run on control tyres and wheels it would be easy to get rid of the ugly disc wheels. So when race organizers choose tyres and wheels for the next race try to find something else than discwheels. Something like this:

As long as the rim is durable I agree for spec tires why not go with something that looks better! People have been running foam tires with spoked rims at our track and the cars are so much more pleasent to watch.

AT $40CND a set im quite happy with a rim that last. The Bling wheels are a DNF waiting to happen. The last thing i want is my premounts on one run rims

I always loved the Cross rims that Take Off used to use. It made any car look better! And in the 4 years or so that I ran them with those rims I never had a DNF because of them!!

How reliable a wheel is has more to do with what plastic is used than the design.

I personally love the dish wheels. I have been having a hard time making the transition to the Prizm wheel as many others at our track. The dish wheel has less flex and it is more agressive and consistent. If you look at National events, the Parma wheel is always at the top. That is one heck of a wheel and in my opinion it looks pretty awesome.

I love the look of dish wheels. SPEEDMIND makes the strongest with there K28 plastic compounds. The sorex's come premounted on those from MAGMA..

The old takeoff wheels with the 3 slits in the dish where strong as hell too but those are old skool now

Ride 24mm Rims seem to be strong as well, they are up there with the speedmind k28 dish in my opinion, the rides have prety cool looking designs as well

Personally I think that the dish rims look crap as too

I can turn just as quick laps with the cool lokking ride rims as with any dish rims i have ever run

I still do run the dish wheels from time to time, but they are not my preffered choice......

The Xray wheels were/are pretty tough and they're not dished wheels. Coming from Xray I'm sure they cost a small fortune but you get what you pay for.

I prefer dish wheels However, when I started in this hobby, I preferred a realistic wheel.

Nice paint job...MASAMI, cough, cough.

I like realistic looking rims as long as they're durable. I don't hate dish rims, just like a little variety.

I don't know about banning but TC's do look a lot better w/ spoke type rims.

Heck any of the HPI TC rims look better then a dish wheel. But I prefer premounts.

===

What premounts can you get right now that are not dish rims?
