Team Magic E4 did really well today on MOD class... It's just really easy to drive I don't have to fight with the setup, The car transition really smooth in transfering weight left to right, Easy to drive on high speed corners.

Weak part of the car is the dogbone and front belt.

Thanks I just purchase a new TM E4 09' Rubber Spec last night. Do I need the Lipo kit on this car or it will fit bigger packs no problem?

You need to space your top plate 2 mm to accept the 5000MAH lipo's and dremel some of the front middle axle holder and a small bit at the front of your side tensioner bracket that's it

Ok I will just have to make my own Lipo Spacer. I just have to copy the one that I got from Wolf Hobbies since I got some Carbon Fiber laying around.

Not a e4 owner guys....but I might be in the future. I thought the 09 RS has a different mount setup made for larger motors and allowing for more battery space? I believe it's the only version with such changes. At least thats what the website leads one to believe.

You can use the 2mm alu rings supplied with the kit, that is all you need :D
And some longer screws

Which spring you guys are using I know it needs a shorter spring to get a proper ride height...

Tamiya make a short Spring Kit anyone you guys tried one?

How about the K-factory spring kit it's on the expensive side but if it will work on the E4 I wil get one...

Thanks guys I'm looking forward on running the E4 at the REEDY Race this year in open MOD.

Anyone what type of springs you guys are using?

buffalobill989 04-28-2010 07:30 AM

im using the k factory springs. from what i understand you can use any of the sedan springs if you use the tc5 spring retainers:D

Jochim_18 04-28-2010 07:37 AM

Are the K-factory spring direct fit without modification? Are they the same lenght as the stock E4 springs?

buffalobill989 04-28-2010 07:46 AM

yes they are a direct fit. when i bought the car (its an older e4 ive had for a few years and still love it) it had the tc5 retainers and the shock ball ends were trimmed down i think. i bought all new ends and retainers and the springs and can get the ride height i need. hope it helps
