Default LRP Sphere Competition TC Spec fan HELP!

Hi,

I need help here:

Sad news..... The fan on my Sphere competition TC-Spec broke! Are there any replacement fans I can installed on it? Or do I have to send it to LRP? Is it safe to run without the fan?

Any fan will work, as long as it's rated the same and has the same size as the original fan. The fan wires on the TC go into the case, so you have to cut them and solder them back together with the new fan wires. It will void warranty though. But it'll beat sending it back, as that'll take months.

I don't care about the warranty as it is only 90 days and I think I am near the deadline anyways. Will this fan work? Do you think this is the same spec?

Yes. Having the plug on aswell means you can choose from the plug or solder it together. Soldering makes it look clean, but the plug is easier. Your choice really

So that mean if I am using the connector on that fan, I will have to solder on a connector on the ESC?

No, you can simply plug the connector into a free slot on the receiver. Doesn't get any easier then that...

Will that cause interference problem? I have issues when I plug a fan directly to the receiver.

It should not cause any interference, since it is soldered to the same BEC line inside the speedo anyway as well.
I did this on many speedos to connect it to the receiver and it never caused intereference.

But I can obviously only say it worked with our fan, not sure if others may cause a problem in regards of intereference.

Thanks for your reply.

One last question, do that fan have the same spec as the original fan on the ESC?

The only thing you have to be aware if you plug the new fan to the receiver is that you will loose the slot for the motor fan!

I personally use both the motor fan and the LRP fan the same time and I try to use the spare receiver slot for the motor though this is just my preference.

my fan broke too.
What size fan is it? I see several novak fans. 25x25 and 30x30. I want the fan to actually work and not be so loud with its broken blades.

It looks like Lrp Sphere Comp Tc Spec is working fine with the truck. What motor should I run with it ?
