Cool story.

Hi,

In the '90s I had my first RC car which was a Tamiya FWD Renault Clio. Due to some nostalgic sentiment I bought back this car from a second hand website.

The chassis was in almost new shape. I added ball bearings, universal shafts, shirt shocks and a new honda civic body.

Yesterday I could finally go out for a test.

...Unfortunately I cannot post any videos yet...

The car was big fun to drive! It had a lot of grip, now I consider it running it inside this winter.

The 3Racing Civic looks very nice as well, could someone tell how wide it is exactly (where the wheels are).

I love my FF01, and occasionally run it with the same Civic body (painted all red, as an homage to my '07 Civic Si). I also have a VW New Beetle body done up like Herbie that I can swap on. It's not as fancy looking as my other FF (a 3Racing FF2015), but it still handles well.

I just got started in FF cars, and got myself a FF-04 Black Edition.
Built it, and finally ran it last night. Not successful. Whenever I turn, the car would just spins out. All settings are from the instructions. Any tip? On top of spinning out, I also get traction roll. Using the anti roll bar from the XV01 already. Any tips on suspension?

I just built a FF03. The stock springs don't compress at all under the weight of the loaded car. Is this.. normal? It seems like a recipie for pain, like when I had my M07 setup with an overly stiff set of springs.

Also.. the ABS tub is both heavy and soft. I was told to buy the fiber reinforced tub... But what about the 3 racing carbon chassis? Does anyone have any experience?

While we're on experience, how about aluminum screws. Have you used them? What worries you about them?

YR-F2 legal in USGT? I have looked at a few for sale and looking at the rules it says 4 wheel independent suspension. Looking at pics I am not 100% sure. Looks like it independent in the rear??

That's a good question. If you eliminated the cross links it would be. But as that stands, that's a live axle.. If live axle were legal, all sorts of fun things would start to be legal.
