randman-use the trinity (or a similar two bar type) i like this one because of the two bars-one that slides into the brush hoods and the other that slides into the bushings so you can realy line the brushes up.

i think thats the best one out there.

Yeah, use that type, and then throw the bar that runs in the bushing away....LOL

When you run the rod thru the bushing and then into the bar that goes thru the brush hoods it does allign the hoods, while the motor is at rest..... As soon as you pull throttle the brushes cock inside the hoods and now they are out of line....... The bar should only be used as a small pry bar......
