24OZ, I think you will have better luck testing with these LiFePO4 batteries. Not A123 brand, but Sub-C size which makes fitment really easy. The final price to make each pack including hardware was $30. I Charge and Balance with a aligator clip hookup. Just like NiMH but I clip the blanace to the buss bar.

I made these 2S2P's for my oval and 1:12 car, but for those pro-tens I would make a saddle pack of a 2S3P. These cells weigh about 20g less per cell than NiMH so you would want 6-cells to equal the same weight as a 4-cell pack. If my oval car had a 6-cell cutout I would have made a 6-cell pack

24OZ... Some people are just cruel....oh well...jib-jab in humor not spite.

the "A" size diameter of the cells make them ideal for the mini sized racers. Stack two 2/3A NiMH together and they end up the same lenght and diameter as the A123 1100mah cells.

trailranger,
Thanks for the USEFUL information. I was just about to come to the conclusion that the Pro-10 folks were all elitist snobs. I guess every hobby has those types.

The A123 cells have some specific characteristics that other cells of similar technology do not. Do you have any other information on these LiFe batteries that I can reference?

Hey guys, I used to run associated 10l's a long time ago and might want to pick up another as a wide body car. Was there an update on this car like an L2, L3 maybe. I'm looking for an onroad car not an oval car.

The last wide onroad car released by Associated was the RC10L2. They stopped production some years ago but you still can find a manual at their website.

You can get a conversion kit from PRC that is let say 10L2.5. As it is the wide car but with the try shock set up from the 10L3.

Nice fast car as being well done conversion as all Doug's stuff is.

+5 re: Doug and his work at PRC. Top quality materials and workmanship plus a very pleasant guy to boot. Kinda like the RC trifecta.

I dont see the max 10 conversion on Doug's website. Is there a part number or a link? I've had a Quad 12 in the past and would like to see about the Max 10. Thanks!
