It's set up for 4 cell and a 13.5 as I don't think the body will be any good with the Lipo I have. The SMC 4000 fits with some extra padding on top of it
I also cut the antenna tube in half then heated it up to bend it.

Also I did not want my PT up yet!

I still need to add some weights to the left side.

There are some pictures that I have seen in the pass couple of weeks where the Lexan bodies wheel wells don't sit properly or flush. Is the body sitting too high on the post? Just my observation..

For my body I did miss the mark a bit on getting the wheels centered also if I lowered it so the wheel was in the center or close to it the bottom of the body would drag on the ground.

Maybe the next paint & body will be better.

With the CRC car you can move the front wheel out another 4mm each side, and the front wheels can move back and forth about 4mm each way. I currently have mine in the middle location.

if the body doesnt line up, (which mine isnt perfect) it was because I missed the mark. normally I like to trim and mount the body before paint, but due time constrants I painted the body earlier in the week. So when I made my holes to mount the body, I missed by about 1/4" in the rear. Makes the body sit alittle to far farward.

If it wasnt for my mistake, then the Lotus HPI body would match perfectly.

Where are you guys gearing your 13.5's? I'm running a Novak 13.5 with Orion lipo. I'd like to run 48 pitch instead of the 64p gears.

I was running a SMC 2C 7.4 lipo and a 13.5BL with a roll out of 43.33 thats a 87 spur and a 20 tooth pinion I found I had a lot of speed but I did not have the body to hold the car down in the sweepers Not sure what the fast guys ran but they were so fast it was scary. check out www.irocc.ca and look under pancars for a lot more info

What setup boards/equiptment is everyone using for there 1/10 pan? Been looking at Hudy, Integy and unity. Hudy seems very expensive. Any leads/tips on best equiptment would be greatly appreciated.

If you are going to be racing in your area, check the rules that the local guys are using. It will give you a good starting point. Also your budget and skill should come into play.

Where I race, we allow 10.5, 19T, Nimh (6 cell), and Lipo (7.4V) to be used. So for my selection was easy. Novak GTB. It works with Brushless and Brushed motors. The package I bought was a bundled deal, and came with the SS10.5 motor.

If you are just starting out in racing, then you may wish to start with a used Brushed ESC (novak GTS, or even the Duratrax 20T). It will easily allow you to run a stock 27T motor which is plenty fast. My car with a 10.5, can flip itself over backwards. (i have already done it acouple of times)

For gearing of the CRC, use 88T 64P, or try a 65-68T 48P. Because the car still uses the 1/12 rear pod there is not alot of room to put pinions on when using a larger diameter spur.

I was able to take mine out to the track last night, it sure was a blast to drive! I ended up gearing a Novak 13.5 at 72/25 48p with 58mm tires, rollout is near 2.5" motor was warm but not hot, and speed was increadible. Does anyne know what the kit front springs are? And are there other options that would work on smooth concrete. She had a little on power push problem. I was using pink Jaco's all the way around.

The front springs are red, and are interchangeable with the rear side springs. CRC p/n 1280 is the spring set and comes with 5 rates - blue, white, red, green, purple in order from softest to hardest.

John, how should the rear shock be set up? When the chassis is picked up the rear pod droops down far due to the shock shaft fully extending, Should a spacer be put on the shock shaft to limit this travel? Also any suggestions for adjusting the preload on the front shocks, a starting point. Thanks.

shortening the center shock (decreasing droop) should help reduce the on-power push.

As far as setting preload on the front springs, I believe I ran my kingpins at 0.615" (measured from the bottom of the steering block to the e-clip groove), but i'm not 100% sure on that (car is at home). i'll check tonight.
