Even when we had bad batterys and slow motors in the 90's these cars were super fast. I would say a nitro track would be perfict for these cars, I would also suggest that you use the 235mm conversion on this car it will be much easier for you to drive. I would say learn how to drive one of these you will be fast enough. I would start with a 17.5 and 4cell you will just as fast as a
mod tc.

Speaking of the 235mm version what is changed here beside the rear axle and hubs? Also will there be a 235mm version or do you have to buy a 200mm car and a conversion kit? As we have no 200mm class here any 200mm parts donīt make sense.

Thanks for the info, now I am really looking forward to this car and it did cross my mind on using the 235mm conversion. Here is the track I hit on weeks, but at this time I am just using the off road. They run 1/10 and 1/8 lots of tc5 though this video shows the 1/8 guys.

Lets not get carried away... While a 17.5 4 cell 1/10th pan car may be fast enough for a beginner to have fun there's no way in hell it's keeping up with a mod TC with any sort of competent driver. A 10.5/19T 4 cell might be close, but anything short of that will be lagging behind.

All three of those bodies will fit. If you're planning on racing, the current consensus is that we're gonna run 2 door GT bodies like the Corvette, Viper, Lamborghini, etc. If you're just looking to do speed runs or something like that, the LOLA is probably your best bet.

No racing at this time unless someone can tell me if someon in Los Angeles will have this class on asphalt? For the mean time I will be running with nitro guys at this track http://youtube.com/watch?v=xYVOdW6Dt9M got the ok this weekend that I can run my electric on this track, which will make me the only one.

This track run 1/10 tc and 1/8 I think I'll be running with the 1/10 guys for the fun of it.

Well seems quite in this thread so I'll bring it back to the top with a question. As a newbie to the on road, I am looking at buying the Spektrum dx3r and with the special of buy one reciever get one free, what reciever should I get for this pan? I have a Traxxas E-Maxx and Rustler VXL so I want to jump on the special since the crc is going to be a project I will be working on in the months to come. Any suggestions would be aprpeciated.

When is the optional Wide kit going to be available? And how much?

Patiently waiting since Feb. for this car to start shipping. Hopfully this next shipping date will happen. Our season has already started, and I believe their is 12 of us at IROCC waiting for this car.
