Well, here's the angle I used with my current girlfriend (now fiancÚ)....

When she met me, I was driving a 03 Subaru WRX that I had upgraded most everything on. It was making in the neighborhood of 400 whp (which is pretty darn good for a WRX on stock internals). But, I was dumping loads of money into it, and every time I drove it I was worried about something breaking and costing even more money.

RC offers me a way to tinker with stuff and go fast without costing nearly as much. Plus, I can't get a speeding ticket with RC, and I can't hurt or kill myself if I crash them.

And, honestly, if a girl is worth having, she won't care what your hobbies are (unless you collect stuffed unicorns or something)...

So you're saying buy an expensive 1/1 road car, upgrade the hell out of it then tell her oh shoot, it keeps breaking so i'll get an r/c car instead? j/k

Seriously though, good plan except that id be broke buying a 1/1 car then wanting all the r/c stuff... I see the logic though- just dont break the r/c car too....

I had the fun drive to work car thing when I was 21, here's 2 pics...

The wife stops me being sane and the r/c stops me from going insane....

Mate 15 girlfriends in 3 years

Well here in the UK we would look at it 2 different ways

1. Good skills mate get em nailed

2. Unlucky get yourself to see the D*ck Doctor

Either way mate as long as you enjoy your racing who cares.
