My GF is super cool with me racing toy cars. She knows it's my little escape from reality and she has her own.

A couple of weeks ago she was more than happy to go down to Toronto for the memorial race as she got to catch up with some old friends she had living there. Her friends were a little taken back though. They couldn't understand why I would drive 500km for 15 minutes of racing.

Hah, I am so slapping you next I see you at the track!

I had 2 TT-01's already, so she was quite welcome to build the one sitting there.

As for sexual satisfaction...I'll ask your "gf" next time I shake her

like someone mentioned, if your running through 15 GF's in a year then your probably gettign more poon than anyone on here. I dont think ive had 15 GF's let alone 5.

Tell them the truth and if they dont like it tell them to kick rocks. I work on cars aswell and i can tell you my ex didnt like it when i spent time in the garage. Well guess what? I'm not with her amd im better off now. Find one that will accept you for all your geek tendencies like i did. They get off on it. Trust me!

Without stereotyping, id say there were 3 types of women when it comes to r/c.

1) The haters. Just dont want to know, period.

2) The "accept it" type- realise and accept you like r/c in your spare time, may even break out the occasional conversation about it, but will not get involved in it. Fair call, its not everyones idea of fun

3) The "wheres MY car" type- Will happily race and/or wrench a car, usually a keeper and wont mind you spending track time in return for quality time with them, or even the two combined (rare breed )

So, in my eyes, you've got a 2 out of 3 chance of finding a good apple...

I must be really lucky. My girlfriend actually enjoys going to the races and watching them. Early on, I bought her daughter a car and they have both been hooked on RC racing for 3 years now. She even helps with the race registration and goes to get us all lunch. It sure is nice not to have to be "in the closet" with the RC stuff.

Just tell her that your toys are the same as her toys: small electric motors and run on batteries if hers run on nitro i'd run away very fast

Just give her the 3.5 brushless and tell her to amuse herself whilst you go racing if shes staying at home

...On second thoughts just leave the silver can and lathe cells lying around at home if you want to go racing, and keep the brushless for yourself

Could also meen that cell matchers have a new buyer for their top cells

Boy then I must of won the super bowl. My fiancee not only can bear me going racing but she also races. She also works on my stuff her stuff, knows alot about the different parts and other things. Now she is even talking about buying herself tools(Not pretty pink either). Worse thing of it is she could probably beat me in a race. Good thing she hasn't changed classes yet. Not only all of that but also knows how to wrench on a car. She even did my brakes on my car before winter.

Be honest just let them know that it is a hobby you enjoy. If they cannot accept that then maybe you need to run. Well hit it first and then run.

Peace Aaron(W-W)

Sounds like you've got a keeper there... Just make sure she doesnt beat you

I will try and get mine out to a race sometime, kicking screaming, shouting and begging to stay at home to do the housework if need be

I honestly cant see her knowing how to put additive on my tyres or skim my motor though so im not getting my hopes up... might chip a finger nail or something...
